Ultrasound imaging technology is one of the four major medical imaging technologies.In recent years,medical ultrasound imaging technology has attracted attention due to its simple and convenient operation,security to human body,and good real-time imaging performance.However,the disadvantages of low frame rate and poor image quality of high-definition images still restrict the development and application of ultrasound imaging technology.In this paper,we will conduct corresponding research work on the most commonly used delay-and-sum and synthetic aperture algorithms in medical ultrasound imaging algorithms,and accelerated strategies were proposed at both hardware and software levels.The delay-and-sum algorithm has a wide range of applications in ultrasonic imaging,radar signal transmission and reception,and antenna signal beam forming.However,the image calculated by the delay-and-sum beamforming algorithm has the disadvantages of low resolution and poor resolution.In addition,the computational tasks of ultrasound imaging equipment are still implemented using ordinary computers,and there is still no good real-time imaging implementation on portable handheld devices.The synthetic aperture beamforming algorithm has a huge improvement in imaging resolution and contrast.By superimposing multiple low-resolution ultrasound images,high-resolution ultrasound images are obtained.The image quality has been greatly improved,and at the same time,it has also increased the amount of computation.Therefore,this paper accelerates delay-and-sum algorithm and synthetic aperture algorithm at the software level,and proposes reversed delay-and-sum beamforming algorithm and reversed synthetic aperture beamforming algorithm.Through experiments,the reverse delay-and-sum algorithm and reversed synthetic aperture algorithm are verified.It can greatly improve the execution speed of the algorithm under the condition that the image quality remains unchanged,and has a speed-up ratio of more than 1.5 times compared with the traditional delay-and-sum algorithm and synthetic aperture algorithm.At the same time,FPGA is used to accelerate the traditional delay-and-sum algorithm and synthetic aperture algorithm at the hardware level,and reversed delay-and-sum algorithm and reversed synthetic aperture algorithm proposed in the paper.It has been verified through experiments that hardware acceleration can achieve a speedup of more than 30 times.The comprehensive use of hardware and software acceleration strategies will facilitate the implementation of real-time high-definition medical ultrasound imaging systems.
