Ovarian cancer is the disease with the highest mortality of gynecologic malignancies.Due to the lack of effective methods for screening and early diagnosis, the vast majority of patients with ovarian cancer have been diagnosed at the advanced stage and often have peritoneal metastases.Cytoreductive surgery combined with platinum-based intravenous chemotherapy allows this treatment to achieve clinical remission but no significant improvement in overall survival.Peritoneal hyperthermic perfusion chemotherapy utilizes the synergistic effect of hyperthermia and chemotherapeutics to optimize the therapeutic effect and achieve remarkable curative effect in the treatment of advanced ovarian cancer in a short period of time,in order to improve the survival rate and prognosis of patients with advanced ovarian cancer.Provides a new way of thinking.HIPEC is still controversial in the treatment of advanced ovarian cancer. This article reviews the current situation of intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion chemotherapy in patients with advanced ovarian cancer.
