Objective: To investigate the feasibility and prognosis of embolization with modified pressure cooker technique for dural arteriovenous fistulas. Methods: To collect 17 cases of the first affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from September 2015 to June 2017 of dural arteriovenous fistulas treated by modified pressure cooker technique.Classification cases according to location, and the operation effect was evaluated by DSA(digital subtraction angiography)examined intraoperative and postoperative.Evaluate the prognosis by mRs(modified Rankin Scale). Results: 17 patients with Dural arteriovenous fistulas were treated by using modified pressure cooker technique via arterial pathway, instant radiography,11 patients with complete embolism(64.71%),and 6 patients with small blood supply arteries(35.29%).No risk anastomosis, bleeding, ischemia, facial paralysis and other complications.Postoperative follow-up after 6 months,mRs Score was 0 in 12 cases(70.59%),1 in 5 cases(29.41%).Conclusion: embolization of dura arteriovenous fistulas through arterial is safe and effective. The operative effect and prognosis are excellent. There is no obvious complication after operation. The short-term follow-up effect is good, and the long-term effect needs further follow-up.However,we still need to pay attention to risk anastomosis.
