Objective: To research the clinical characteristics and treatments of the rupture of intracranial arachnoid cyst in children. Methods: a retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 29 cases of IAC rupture and 4 cases of rupture again(a total of 33 cases).A nalyze the treatment and prognosis of different types of arachnoid cysts rupture.Results:1.29 cases in this study, accounting for 2.7% of the total number of IAC children during the same period.23 cases in male,6 cases in female.Average age was 5.82±3.82.2.Etiology: spontaneous rupture :12 cases, traumatic rupture :17 cases.3.27 cases with intracranial hypertension(93.1%),cranial fossa was common(93.1%),4.IAC ruture divided into Subdural hygroma/ hemorrhage(22 cases),Subdural hematoma(4 cases),Intracystic bleeding(1 cases),Intracystic and Subdural hemorrhage(2 cases).5.The treratment including conservative therapy in 8 cases, burr hole in 15 cases, fistulization in 4 cases, craniotomy hematoma clearance in 5 cases.6.A total of 27 children were followed up,and the KPS score was in 90-100 points.A little of the children had mild symptoms, and the effusion(or)hematoma was absorbed completely in 7 cases,9 cases were significantly less,6 were less, and 5 were slightly more.Arachnoid cysts disappeared in 6 cases,5 were significantly less,9 were reduced and 7 were unchanged. Conclusion: The treatment of IAC rupture should be comprehensive evaluation with clinical symptoms and imaging data, select the appropriate treatment. As for the children with intracranial hypertension: With bleeding,We can firstly choose to burr hole drainage or craniotomy hematoma clearance, then choose fistulization in selectively.Without bleeding,we can choose fistulization firstly.
