[Objective] This paper aims at evaluation of budesonide and formoterol as maintain reliever for asthma the efficacy and safety;[Methods] The search included in Pub Med,EMbase,The Cochrane Library,CBM,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang from 6 databases 2017.5 months ago,about budesonide and formoterol for asthma as maintenance and reliever(experimental group),budesonide and formoterol for asthma maintenance,terbutaline for reliever therapy(control group)which is randomized controlled trial.After literature screening,data extraction and evaluation of bias risk,Review manager 5.3 was used by Meta as analysis software[Results] 5 randomized controlled trial(total 6 control groups),The documents included are both English and high quality literature,involving 10158 patients were included.There was a statistical diffrence between experimental group and control group on hospitalization and emergency room treatment [OR= 0.70,95%CI(0.59 ?,0.85),P=0.0002] severe exacerbation rates,[OR=0.66,95%CI(0.52,0.82),P =0.0002],the number of discontinued treatment[OR=0.84,95%CI()0.73,0.96,,P =0.01 experimental group was better;control group had prominently greater improvements in PEF from baseline [MD= 4.05,95%CI(,0.18)7.93,P =0.04]?increase FEV1 from baseline[MD= 0.04,95%CI(,)0.05 0.08,P =0.009];there wasn't observably on the number of nocturnal awakenings caused by asthma and fatal adverse events between the two groups,were as follows [OR= 1.25,95%CI(1.00,1.56),P=0.05] and [OR=1.01,95%CI(0.23,4.45),?P =0.99][Conclusion]Budesonide and Formoterol as maintenance and reliever therapy for asthma was better than control group,on reducing the acute attack of asthma and safety,in addition control group is better at improving lung function.
