Objective:1.To know the physical development at discharge and the early growth catch-up after discharge in VLBW/ELBWI of our hospital, and analyze the impact factors of extrauterine growth restriction in two different stages.2.To know the early neurological development after discharge in VLBW/ELBWI of our hospital and analyze its impact factors.Subjects and Methods:Select VLBW/ELBWI who were followed in the child care clinics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University from May 2016 to November 2017 as the subjects of the study.Collect the medical history data of the premature included in this study, and perform the growth measurement during the period of 3 to 6 months corrected age,and the neurological assessment was performed at the same time using the China Development Scale for Children.Software SPSS24.0 was used for statistical analysis.T-test,chi-square test and non-parametric test were used to analyze the possible impact factors in univariate analysis, then select the significant ones(P<0.05)to do the logistic regression analysis to analyze the impact factors for extrauterine growth restriction and neurodevelopmental abnormalities in VLBW/ELBWI.Results:1.A total of 62 preterm infants were included. There were 50 cases of EUGR at discharge and the incidence was 80.6%.Corrected age at discharge was the risk factor for EUGR at discharge in VLBW/ELBWI,with an OR of 2.55 and a 95% CI of 1.36 to 4.79.2.There were 22 cases of EUGR at 3-6 months corrected age and the incidence was35.5%.SGA and corrected age at discharge were risk factors for EUGR at the time of 3 to 6months corrected age.The OR of SGA was 5.21,and the 95% CI was 0.90 to 30.33.The OR of corrected age at discharge was 1.56,and the 95% CI was 1.14 to 2.14.3.Six cases had abnormal neurological development at 3-6 months corrected age and the incidence was 9.7%.EUGR at follow-up and 5-minute Apgar score were the impact factors for abnormal neurological development at 3-6 months corrected age.EUGR at follow-up was a risk factor, with an OR of 22.78,and a 95% CI of 1.44 to 361.52.The 5-minute Apgar score was a protective factor with an OR of 0.38,and a 95% CI of 0.15 to 0.95.Conclusions:1.The incidence of EUGR at discharge in VLBW/ELBWI was relatively high. Some of them began to show growth catch-up at 3-6 months corrected age,but a considerable number of preterm infants still had growth deviations.2.Corrected age at discharge was the common risk factor for EUGR at discharge and at 3-6months corrected age in VLBW/ELBWI.SGA may be a risk factor for EUGR at 3-6 months corrected age.3.EUGR at follow-up was a risk factor for abnormal neurological development at 3-6 months corrected age, while 5-minute Apgar score was a protective factor.
