| Objective:To explore the heat sensitive points in the ulnar metacarpal area of the patients with the eighth cervical nerve root compressed cervical spondylopathy, and to observe the temperature change and symptom improvement of the ulnar metacarpal area before and after the treatment.Methods:1.Object:This study includes 33 patients with the eighth cervical nerve root compressed cervical spondylopathy.2.Steps:Useing the heat sensitive moxibustion method for thermal exploration on the ulnar palm, records all the sensitive points’ appearing time, location and sensation form.Taking the most sensitive point as the treating area, compare the temperature difference by infrared image.3.Analysis:Select Tanaka Yasushi cervical spondylosis symptoms scale as the assessment of symptoms between before and after 2 courses therapy. The data were analyzed by SPSS21.0.The difference of temperature and symptoms before and after treatment was analyzed by paired t test.Results:.1.After two courses of heat sensitive moxibustion, the cure rate was 0.There were 19 cases improved,11 casesuncured. The total effective rate was 63.33%.2.The total score of Tanaka Yasushi scale after heat sensitive moxibustion treatment was higher than before(P < 0.01).The scores of posterior neck pain, finger numbness, sensation and hand function were higher than before(P < 0.01).There was no significant difference in the scores of upper limb numbness, intervertebral foramen test, muscle strength, tendon reflex and work and life ability before and after treatment(P > 0.05),the averagr range was around 0.7℃.3.There were 45 heat sensitive points in 30 subjects after moxibustion, and the average time was 13.96 minutes.Considering the location of heat sensitive point, there are 29 heat sensitive points in the palm,6 in the small finger and ring finger, and the most points are in the vicinity of Shaofu(HT 8)and Houxi(SI 3).4.The temperature of the affected side before moxibustion was lower than that of the healthy side, and the temperature of the affected side after treatment was higher than that before treatment(P < 0.01).After moxibustion, the temperature of heat sensitive point after treatment was higher than that before inquiry(P < 0.01).Conclusion:1.Heat sensitive moxibustion on the ulnar side of the palm improved the local symptoms of the eighth cervical nerve root type cervical spondylosis.2.The ulnar side of the affected palm showed hypothermia image before and after the treatment, and the sensitive moxibustion slightly increased the temperature of the affected side.3.The main forms of the heat sensitive points were heat expansion and heat permeability, and the infrared image can present their features. Most of the heat sensitive points were distributed along the meridian route of the Hand ShaoYin. |
