Clinical Observation Of Buyang Huanwu Decoction In Radial Nerve Palsy Associated With Humeral Shaft Fracture

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical observation of Buyang Huanwu Decoction(BYHWD)for treatingradial nerve palsy(RNP)associated with humeral shaft fractures,by setting up the control group,compared before and after treatment,inorder to further explore and promote BYHWD the treatment of radial nerve palsy(RNP)associated with humeral shaft fractures,and provide a clinical basis.Method: Using prospective research method,during the period from 2014 December to 2016 December,the radial nerve palsy associated with humeral shaft fracture patients Were diagnosed and treated in affiliated hospital of Chengdu University of TCM outpatient and inpatient,a total of 59 patients,divided into BYHWD group(Mecobalamin capsules and traditional Chinese medicine group)and control group(treated with Mecobalamin capsules),eight months after operation,follow-up the two groups of patients,recored and included in the statistical data,refer to the relevant evaluation criteria for functional assessment of efficacy,the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 21.0 software.Results:1.Before the treatment,two groups of the patients showed no significant difference in the aspects of danger,age,course of the disease(P>0.05).2.There were significant differences of basic function before and after treatment(P<0.05).The BYHWD group was superior to the control group after treatment(P<0.05).3.The BYHWD group before and after treatment of radial nerve function score had significant difference(P<0.05),The BYHWD group was superior to the control group after treatment(P<0.05).4.There were significant differences of nerve conduction velocity and amplitude before and after treatment(P<0.05).The BYHWD group was superior to the control group after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion: Taking Mecobalamin capsules combied with Buyang Huanwu Decoctioncan effectively improve the limb function of patients with radial nerve palsy associated with humeral shaft fracture,and the effect is better than that of pure Mecobalamin capsules.The Buyang Huanwu Decoction should be used with the feasibility and superiority of the clinical treatment of the radial nerve palsy associated with humeral shaft fracture,that is worthy of further study.
