BPPV is the most common vertigo among numbers of diseases that cause dizziness.During the long-term diagnosis and treatment process,position test has been the gold standard for the diagnosis of BPPV and manual reduction has been the best method for the treatment of BPPV.Both need a series of changes in posture.But the operational process of them is still in the original stage.The conversion of every action and two actions in treatment requires doctors' pure manual or by means of some simple equipment.Thus the treatment owns many disadvantages such as low efficiency,lazy action,uneven action conversion and so on.A patient who is weak can't complete these actions easily,thus manual reduction will directly affect diagnosis and treatment of BPPV.Since we entered modern society,medical industrialization has become a tendency.More and more medical equipment present characters of industrialization,automation,intelligence and they(such as CT,electroencephalograph,hemodialysis machine and so on)are used by many hospitals to ensure people's health.By contrast,the diagnosis and treatment of BPPV is relatively backward.So it is urgent and necessary to develop a device to achievement fully automatic operation.This paper implements the system of diagnosis and treatment from hardware and software.The hardware part of the system implements a large equipment of diagnosis and treatment of vertigo and an eye mask with wireless video acquisition.The large equipment of diagnosis and treatment of vertigo adopts industrial control technology,using upper computer to control lower computer to realize communication,it can achieve the single-turn rotation,the multi-turn rotation,the nearest rotation,the non-nearest rotation,the single axis rotation,the multi-axis rotation,the zero rotation,the homing rotation,the single-step rotation,the multi-step rotation and so on5 and finally,precise positioning.The eye mask with wireless video acquisition collects the video of patients' pupil by wireless transmission.Then using digital image processing techniques to analysis the video,locate the pupil center in real time accurately,draw the nystagmus waveforns,and these as the basis for the diagnosis and treatment.The software part of the system completes a software system of diagnosis and treatment of BPPV based on the perspective of doctors.In addition to a good man-machine interface for the doctor to control equipment and treat diseases,the software also stores the patient's information which can support scenario reduction anywhere to retrospective analysis and statistical treatment.Facts have proven that the system has a great market demand and the effect of diagnosis and treatment in patients of BPPV is good.At the same time,it achieves industrialization,automation and intelligence in the BPPV field and brTings gospel for the majority of patients with BPPV.
