function and quality of life in 12 and 24 weeks of esophageal cancer with esophagogastric cervicalanastomosis and intrathoracic anastomosisMethod: 136 patients with esophageal cancer underwent esophagectomy were measured with standard swallowing function rating scale(SSA)、quality of life questionnaire(Quality of life Questionnaire Core-30,QLQ-C30)and the special scale for esophageal cancer(QLQ-OES18)at 12 and 24 weeks after operation,of which,53 cases with cervical anastomosis(group A)、51 cases with left thoracic aortic arch anastomosis(group B,)and 32 cases with right thoracic anastomosis(group C).Result:1 Swallowing function at 12 weeks after operation No statistical significance in the first-step score of the three groups; The second step score showed that the dysphagia in the neck group was more severe than that in group B and group C,No significant difference between the left chest group and the right chest group. The third step score indicated that the dysphagia in the neck group was more severe than that in the left chest group, but no statistical difference compared with the right chest group, there was no significant difference between the left chest group and the right chest group. In the total score comparison, the swallowing function of the neck group was still weaker than that in the left chest group and the right chest group, but there was no significant difference between the left chest group and the right chest group.2 Swallowing function at 24 weeks after operation The first-step score of the three groups was not statistically significant. The second step score showed that the dysphagia in the neck group was more severe than the left chest and right chest, there was no significant difference between the left chest group and the right chest group. The third step score showed that the dysphagia in the neck group was more severe than that in the left chest group and the right chest group. There was no significant difference between the left chest group and the right chest group. In the total score comparison, there were significant differences between the neck group and the left chest group and the right chest group. The symptom in the neck group was more severe than that in the left chest group and the right chest group.3 Comparison of quality of life3.1 The results of QLQ-C30 scale measured in the postoperative 12 th weeksComparison of overall quality of life: The overall quality of life in the right chest group was better than the neck group and the left chest group;2 Body function comparison:The body function of the right chest group was better than the neck group and the left chest group.;3 Role function comparison:Both the right chest group and the left chest group were better than the neck group;4 Comparison of emotional functions:Both the right chest group and the left chest group were better than the neck group。5 Comparison of fatigue symptoms:Both the right chest group and the left chest group were better than the neck group.6 The comparison of pain symptoms:The pain in the neck group was less than that of the right chest group and the left chest group.Pain in the left chest group was less than that of the right chest group;7 The comparison of insomnia symptoms:The symptoms in the neck group were less than that of the right chest group and the left chest group.8 The comparison of loss of appetite items:The loss of appetite in the right chest group was greater than that of the neck group and the left chest group.3.2 The results of QLQ-OES18 scale measured 12 weeks after surgeryThe comparison of dysphagia items:The symptoms in the neck group were greater than that of the left chest group and the right chest group;2 The comparison of eating pain items:The symptoms of the neck group were less than that of the left chest group and the right chest group;3 The comparison of saliva entries:The symptoms in the neck group were greater than that of the left chest group and the right chest group.3.3 The results of QLQ-C30 scale measured 24 weeks after surgeryComparison of overall quality of life: The overall quality of life in the right chest group was better than the neck group and the left chest group;2 Body function comparison:The neck group was worse than the right chest group and the left chest group;3 Role function comparison:Both the right chest group and the left chest group were better than the neck group;4 The comparison of pain symptoms:The pain in the neck group was less than that of the right chest group and the left chest group, pain in the left chest group was less than that of the right chest group;5 The comparison of insomnia symptoms:The symptoms of insomnia in the neck group were less than that of the right chest group and the left chest group.6 The comparison of loss of appetite items:The loss of appetite in the right chest group was greater than that of the neck group and the left chest group.3.4 The results of QLQ-OES18 scale measured 24 weeks after surgeryThe comparison of dysphagia items:The symptoms in the neck group were greater than that of the left chest group and the right chest group;2 The comparison of saliva entries:The symptoms in the neck group were greater than that of the left chest group and the right chest group. Conclusion: The Neck Anastomosis vs.the Intrathoracic Anastomosis:1 Postoperative swallowing function of patients with intrathoracic esophagogastrectomy was better than that of the cervical esophagogastric anastomosis, but no difference between that in the right intrathoracic anastomosis and the left intrathoracic esophgogastrectomy..2 The overall survival quality, body function, role function, emotional function, swallowing symptoms and fatigue symptom items in the intrathoracic anastomosis group were all superior to the cervical anastomosis group3 The loss of appetite in the right thoracic group was greater than that of the neck group and the left thoracic group. | | Keywords/Search Tags: |
