Comparative Study Of CBCT And MSCT In Airway Morphology Evaluation Of OSAHS Patients

ObectiveComparative spiral CT(MSCT)and conical beam CT(CBCT)were different in airway morphological evaluation in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).MethodsWill more than 28 cases after night sleep monitor(polysomngraphy PSG)after checking in the diagnosis of OSAHS patients awake separately on airway spiral CT(MSCT)and cone beam CT(CBCT)after continuous scanning of the pharyngeal cavity of each measure of measurement data were analyzed,and the comparison on airway each measurements such as measurement level of the length and cross-sectional area of each lines.pharyngeal cavity length and thickness of soft tissue,the distance between the pharyngeal bony structure and pharyngeal bony structure to pharynx posterior wall front distance such as the differences of two CT scans to measure results.ResultsTwo kinds of CT scanning on airway respectively,30 in pharyngeal cavity measurements have 17 the measurement results of measurement,p<0.05,two kinds of CT measurements difference was statistically significant,including 5 to the area after the soft palate,tongue area of 10,after soft tissue change of 2,there are significant difference with the result of measurement;In 15 diameter for each level of each line and each level of cross-sectional area measured results,which contains the sagittal diameter(pharyngeal cavity diameter)before and after about 7 pair,size(around pharyngeal cavity width)3 and major in up3 area,cross-sectional area area after 5 to have focused on the tongue.In this 7 six of the measurement results of sagittal diameter on the measured results of p<0.01,two kinds of CT examination results significant difference,and the six the measurement results of measuring results MSCT values are less than the measured results of CBCT,in about 3 to diameter measurement results the significant difference(p<0.01)to 1,and MSCT scanning measurement result value is greater than that of CBCT scanning measurement results,in 5 the measurement results of cross-sectional area has 4 to p<0.01,significant difference measurements and MSCT scanning measurement results are less than the measured results of CBCT scanning.In length and thickness of soft tissue,the length of the soft palate and uvula measurement results(p<0.01,significant difference was found in two kinds of measurement results of CT scanning,the thickness of the tongue of the measurement results(p<0.05(=0.049),the difference was statistically significant;The distance between the osseous structure of the upper airway pharyngeal cavity and the distance between the bone structure and the anterior margin of the pharyngeal wall were both p>0.05,and the difference was not statistically significant.ConclusionThe anatomical data of the upper airway obtained by MSCT and CBCT were significantly different.Therefore.in clinical work.the difference between CBCT and MSCT should be taken into account when using CBCT scan to assess the airway morphology of OSAHS patients.
