Objective:The cases of immature permanent teeth with pulp necrosis or apical periodontitis that was caused by abnormal central cusp fractures were selected,to evaluate the clinical effect of pulp revascularization.Methods:10 of immature permanent teeth with pulp necrosis or apical periodontitis that was caused by abnormal central cusp fractures were selected, the root development of the teeth was in stage 7~9 of the Nolla.Pulp revascularization of apical periodontitis after root canal irrigation and root canal disinfection to control the root canal inflammation, followed by clinical and radiological examinations at 1,3,6,12 and 18 months to observe the healing of the periapical lesions, the continued development of the roots and pulp vitality test. Results:After 8~18 months follow-up of observation10 cases.7 cases a periapical radiograph revealed that periapical shadow had disapeared, roots continued to develop, root length increased, and root canal wall thickened. In the other 3 cases, there was no disappearance of a periapical radiograph shadow,no increase in root length, and no thickening of the root canal wall, which 1 case had clinical symptoms,we changed to apexification. Conclusion:By following this study,we draw that pulp revascularization provide new treatment to immature permanent teeth with pulp necro-sis or apical periodontitis that was caused by abnormal central cusp fractures. The long-term clinical effect remains to be further observation.
