Objective:To measure and analyze the CT and MRI imaging features of parotid pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin’s tumor,and discuss the two kinds of tumors’imaging difference between CT and MRI in the clinical diagnostic significance.Methods:The characteristic manifestations and data of CT and MRI of 130 patients with parotid pleomorphic adenoma and 85 patients with Warthin’s tumor were concluded and measured retrospectively.The data collected were statistically analyzed by SPSS 23.0software package.Results:The mean age of parotid pleomorphic adenoma was 42.09±13.68 years.The mean age of Warthin’s tumor was 59.49±11.03years.There was statistically significant difference in age between mixed parotid tumor and adenolymphoma(P<0.001).Male to female ratio of parotid pleomorphic adenoma was 1:2.61.Male to female ratio of Warthin’s tumor was 5.17:1.There was statistically significant difference in gender between parotid pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin’s tumor(P<0.001).The smoking rates of Warthin’s tumor was significantly higher than pleomorphic adenoma(P<0.001).There were no statistically significant difference in the shape and density between the CT image of parotid pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin’s tumor(P>0.05).The boundary clarity rate of parotid pleomorphic adenoma in CT image was 82.61%.The boundary clarity rate of Warthin’s tumor was 94.55%.There was statistically significant difference in the boundary and plain scan CT value(P<0.05).The mean density value of parotid pleomorphic adenoma was 33.43±10.19HU.The mean density value of Warthin’s tumor was 43.48±13.87HU.There was statistically significant difference in the plain scan CT value(P<0.001).The T1WI density of pleomorphic adenoma in MRI was lower than Warthin’s tumor.There were no statistically significant difference in the shape,boundary,density and T2WI between the MRI image of parotid pleomorphic adenoma and Warthin’s tumor(P>0.05).The resolution of the boundary definition of pleomorphic adenoma by MRI was higher than CT(P<0.05)in the comparison of the definition of tumor margin between CT and MRI,while there was no difference between MRI and CT on the resolution of the boundary definition of Warthin’s tumor(P>0.05).Conclusion:The clarity and density value of parotid pleomorphic adenoma was lower than Warthin’s tumor in the CT image.In the T1WI density of MRI,pleomorphic adenoma was low signal,while Warthin’s tumor was no significant signal.The definition of MRI is higher than CT,and is easy to distinguish the boundary of tumors.It is of great significance for the preoperative differential diagnosis and the definition of the scope of tumors to clinicians.
