The Significance And Correlations Between The Expression Of CD27 And The Therapeutic Effect Of Bortezomib In Multiple Myeloma

Objective: We analyzed the clinical index of multiple myeloma to investigate the correlations between the expression of CD27 and the clinical index,such as age,gender,WBC counts,hemoglobin,platelet counts,serum albumin,creatinine,serum calcium,LDH,serum and urine ?2 micro-globulin,serum and urinary kappa and lambda light chain and to discover the probable prognosis difference determined by age,the expression of CD27 and the therapeutic effect of bortezomib.Our study provided the possibility of CD27 for the clinical classification and treatment by supplying the theoretical basis.Methods: We collected the clinical index and OS of 129 patients newly diagnosed as MM in our hospital from January 1,2015 to December 31,2016.The expression of CD27 was detected by flow cytometry.SPSS 23.0 was used for analysis.The patients were divided into two groups by age,the expression of CD27 and whether using bortezomib.Chi-square test was used for count data.The OS rates were calculated by Kaplan-Meier curves.P values less than 0.05 were considered to indicate statistical significance.Results: 1.Of the 129 patients,37 are CD27 positive(28.7%);13 are partial positive(10.1%);79 were negative(61.2%).2.The expression of CD27 is related to the age of MM patients(p=0.011).CD27+ can be seen more often in younger patients,comparing with the older one.3.In CD27 positive groups,the younger group showed better OS time.Also CD27 positive indicates better prognosis in the younger layer(p=0.039).4.The OS time for CD27+ patients who received bortezomib as their treatment is proved to be longer than those CD27+ but refusing bortezomib therapy.Conclusion: CD27 positive Multiple myeloma has some relationship with low onset age and indicate better prognosis.CD27 positive patients may receive better therapeutic effect after using bortezomib in multiple myeloma.
