Sudden deafness(SD)is one of the common diseases in the department of otolaryngology, with an increasing incidence rate in recent years. The prognosis is not always good in all patients. At present,it is generally considered that thrombosis and microcirculation disorders of vascular thrombosis play an important role in the pathogenesis of SD.Therefore, some experts recommend anticoagulant thrombolytic therapy with batroxobin,an antithrombotic drug.A number of clinical studies have shown that batroxobin can improve the treatment efficiency and shorten the treatment duration of SD.Since different types of hearing loss caused by sudden deafness may result from different pathogenesis,it is needed to study whether batroxobin is effective in treatment of SD with different types. The present paper summarizes the treatment of SD with different types by batroxobin after reviewing literatures.
