Objective: After preparation of molybdenum-containing coatings on pure titanium substrates by atmospheric plasma spraying, the coatings were sealed with epoxy resin organic sealing agents. In a simulated oral environment, the sealing of pure titanium molybdenumcontaining coatings before and after the treatment was studied.Electrochemical corrosion behavior in artificial saliva with different fluoride ion mass fractions;surface morphology was observed under scanning electron microscopy and porosity analysis was performed. Methods: The spherical molybdenum powder with a particle size of 90 ?m and a purity of 99.99% was selected as the spray powder. After consulting the literature and pre-experiments,the parameters for spraying were determined using atmospheric plasma spraying technology to prepare molybdenum coatings on the surface of pure titanium specimens.Using an epoxy resin organic sealing agent to seal the part of the base coating.Field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM)was used to observe the surface morphology and porosity of the experimental specimens(sealed with the coating)and the control specimens(without the pore sealing treatment).Specimens of the experimental group and the control group were placed in a simulated oral environment(artificial acidic saliva in which the fluoride ion mass fraction was 0%,0.05%,and 0.2% of the PH value was 5.0)for 48 hours, and the electrophoresis was performed by the electrochemical method.Corrosion experimental polarization curve method was used to measure the self-corrosion voltage(corrosion potential)and the corresponding corrosion current density(ICORR)of the test piece and the test piece in the experimental dielectric. Results: Observed under scanning electron microscope see:.After the sealing treatment of the coating, the surface structure is more dense, andSmoother surface. After the software determines the porosity of the sealing coating, the electrochemical corrosion test results show that with the increase of fluoride ion mass fraction, the corrosion potential of the experimental group was larger than that of the control group,P <0.05.At the same time, the corrosion current density of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group,P <0.05.Conclusion: After the pure titanium-containing molybdenum coating is used for sealing, the surface structure of the coating is more dense. The organic sealing agent can penetrate into the pores of the coating better, fill the pores of the coating, and further reduce the porosity of the coating. After the sealing treatment,at the same time the external corrosive medium can be effectively blocked, and the coating can be effectively protected to improve its corrosion resistance.
