Objective:Inflammatory reaction is one of the main mechanisms of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome?OSAHS?.This article aims to investigate the relationship between severity of OSAHS and blood-related inflammatory markers–neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio?NLR?,platelet/lymph Cell ratio?PLR?.Methods:This article was a retrospective study.203 patients, including 97 females and 106males,were enrolled in this study from January 2016 to December 2017 in our hospital respiratory department sleep monitoring room. The patients were clinically suspected OSAHS,who had polysomnography?PSG?and collected the blood tests results.Participants patients were divided into 4 groups according to sleep apnea hypopnea index?AHI?:normal group?AHI<5 times/hour,50 cases?,mild OSAHS group?5?AHI<15times/hour,49 cases?,moderate OSAHS group?15?AHI<30 times/hour,53 cases?and severe OSAHS group?AHI?30 times/hour,51 cases?.The patient PSG?mean oxygen saturation, the lowest oxygen saturation, the longest apnea time?and blood routine examination?neutrophilcount, lymphocytecount, plateletcount?resultswere gathered.Statistically analysis was done after data collection. Results:NLR results showed that the NLR of moderate OSAHS group?2.28±0.26?was higher than normal group?1.83±0.15?and mild OSAHS group?1.88±0.09?,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.Severe OSAHS group?3.34±0.64?NLR was higher than normal group?1.83±0.15?,mild OSAHS group?1.88±0.09?,moderate OSAHS group?2.28±0.26?,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant; There was no significant difference between mild OSAHS group and normal group?P>0.05?.NLR was positively correlated with AHI and maximum apnea time, but negatively correlated with average SpO2 and minimum SpO2.PLR results showed that PLR in mild OSAHS group?89.18±5.19?was higher than normal group?84.99±6.12?,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. The PLR in moderate OSAHS group?117.46±23.76?was higher than normal group?84.99±6.12?and mild OSAHS group?89.18±5.19?,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.Severe OSAHS group?133.32±19.80?PLR was higher than normal group?84.99±6.12?,mild OSAHS group?89.18±5.19?and moderate OSAHS group?117.46±23.76?,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.PLR was positively correlated with AHI and maximum apnea time, but negatively correlated with average SpO2 and minimum SpO2.Conclusion:The severity of OSAHS is closely related with NLR and PLR.AHI is positively correlated with NLR and PLR.NLR and PLR are expected to become the blood cell related markers assess the severity of OSAHS.
