| ObjectiveThrough the investigation of the basic situation of elderly immigrants over 60 years old in the water source area of the South-North Water Transfer Project,the disease situation in two weeks,the prevalence of chronic diseases,the two-week medical situation,and the hospitalization in the past year,the health status of elderly immigrants and the utilization of health services are known.The government and relevant departments provide relevant reference and recommendations for improving policies and health care services for elderly immigrants and rational allocation of health resources.MethodsIn this study,a multi-stage stratified random sampling method was applied,and the general situation questionnaire and health status questionnaire were applied.In July 2016,the water source area from the South-to-North Water Transfer Project was moved to Jixian,Danjiangkou,Yinzhou,Yicheng and Huangpi Districts.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 364 elderly immigrants aged ≥60 years in the water source area.A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed and 364 valid questionnaires were returned.The effective recovery rate was 91.0%.The main contents of the questionnaire include: basic situation,two-week illness,chronic disease,two-week visit,and hospitalization in the past year.The database was built with Epi Data3.0 software,and the quality control of survey data management was carried out by means of double entry real-time verification,consistency check and logic check.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 20.0 statistical software,including descriptive analysis,X2 test and logistic regression analysis.Results(1)The prevalence rate of elderly immigrants in the water source area was 56.23%.Gender,age,smoking,drinking,and chronic diseases were the main factors affecting the prevalence of elderly immigrants for two weeks.(2)The prevalence of chronic diseases among elderly immigrants in the survey area was 79.7%.The top chronic diseases were low back pain,high blood pressure,heart disease,gastritis and bronchitis.The degree of education,smoking,drinking,family income satisfaction,and dietary habits are the main factors affecting the chronic diseases of elderly migrants in water source areas.(3)The rate of visits to elderly immigrants in the survey area was 55.61% for two weeks.The main reasons for the two-week visit were dizziness,hypertension and back pain.The rate of undiagnosed patients in the two weeks was 44.39%.The main reasons for the two weeks of illness were self-infected(61.54%)and economic difficulties(30.76%).(4)The rate of hospitalization for elderly immigrants in the survey area in the past year was 42.41%,and the rate of hospitalization in the past year was 57.59%.The main reasons for hospitalization are hypertension,heart disease and gastritis.The reason for the patient’s discharge was mainly due to the unhealed(34.96%),the cured doctor gave up(33.33%),and healed himself(21.14%).The main reason for the unhealed reasons is economic difficulty(51.16%)and refractory(48.84%).Conclusions(1)The prevalence of chronic diseases and the prevalence of chronic diseases in the elderly in the water source area are high,and the health status cannot be ignored.The health awareness of elderly immigrants needs to be improved.(2)Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are the main problems that endanger the health of elderly immigrants,and are the focus of prevention and treatment of chronic diseases of elderly immigrants.(3)Economic difficulties are the main factors affecting the utilization of health services by elderly immigrants in water source areas,and the demand for potential health services is large. |
