| Objective:To uncover the current situation of anxiety in paramedics,and explore the effects of mindfulness and regulatory emotional self-efficacy on their anxiety.Methods:1124 paramedics were surveyed by Regulatory Emotional Slef-efficacy scale,Five Facet Mindfulness Questionaire and Self-rating anxiety scale RES,FFMQ and SAS and data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 and Amos 7.0 for analysis of variance,correlation analysis,regression analysis and structural equation confirmatory analysis.Results:①277 nurses were tested with anxiety,the incidence of anxiety was 24.64%.② There were significant difference of anxiety among the investigated hospital,administrative offices,and length of service(P<0.05).③There were significant difference among the investigated hospitals in mindfulness and regulatory emotional self-efficacy(P<0.05).④ There was a significant positive correlation between the score of observe,one dimension of mindfulness,and anxiety(P<0.01),while there were significant negative correlations between the score of description,perceived action,and without judgment,three dimensions of mindfulness,and anxiety(P<0.01).and between regulatory emotional self-efficacy and anxiety(P<0.01).⑤There were four factors which had negative predictions in nurse’s anxiety,perceived self-efficacy in expressing positive affect,perceived self-efficacy in managing despondency/distress,perceived self-efficacy in managing anger/irritation and description.Observation positively predicted nurse’s anxiety,the explanation was 19.2%.⑥The regulatory emotional self-efficacy played a partial mediating role between mindfulness and nurses’ anxiety,which explained 28.2%of the total effects.Conclusion:①Anxiety is commonly existent among nurses.The anxiety of the nurses is influenced by the type of the hospital,administrative office and the length of service.②The mindfulness and regulatory emotional self-efficacy have positive effects on the nurses’ anxiety.The higher the level of mindfulness and regulatory emotional self-efficacy are,the lower the level of anxiety is.③the regulatory emotional self-efficacy has a partial mediator between mindfulness and nurses’ anxiety. |
