Objective:To investigate the advantages and disadvantages of SMI in the detection of neovascularization of carotid artery plaque and its clinical value.Method:62 carotid atherosclerotic patients in Bengbu Third People's Hospital from June 2017 to December 2017 were selected for routine color Doppler carotid artery ultrasound examination.After routine color Doppler ultrasound examination,SMI screening was continued and the carotid plaque with new blood vessel signals was screened(70 cases),and further ultrasound was carried out.Angiography(CUES)was performed to compare the consistency of the above two methods in detecting the number of neovascularization in carotid plaques.Results:SMI detected the plaque of the neovascularization according to the distribution of the number of neovascularization.After the SMI examination of the carotid artery,a total of 10 cases of 0 grade plaques were reached,and a total of grade 1 plaques were 35 cases,and a total of 2 plaques were 25 cases.After carotid CEUS examination,a total of 15 cases of grade 0 were scored;a total of 35 cases with grade 1,a total of 20 cases of grade 2,and the grading results of two methods were tested by Kappa test.It was found that the consistency of SMI model and CUES model in detecting the neovascularization in carotid plaque was very good(Kappa=0.769,Kappa>0)..75,P=0.000,P<0.05)indicate that SMI has good agreement with contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the diagnosis of neovascularization of carotid plaques.Conclusion:SMI and CEUS have good consistency in detecting neovascularization in carotid plaque.SMI has high safety,easy operation,reproducibility,noninvasive and low price.It has important reference value in evaluating the neovascularization of carotid plaque.SMI can be used as an important method for the diagnosis of neovascularization of carotid plaque.
