Objective:To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Modified Huanglian Wendan Decoction in treating obese T2DM with damp-heat and spleen-trapping syndrome,and to provide treatment ideas and methods for this disease.Methods:Sixty obese T2DM patients with damp-heat and spleen-trapping syndrome were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,30 cases in each group.The control group was given basic treatment and conventional western medicine with metformin tablets.The treatment group was given Modified Huang Lian Wendan Decoction on the basis of the control group.Both groups had a course of 12 weeks.Date of the two groups including the symptom scores,glucose and lipid related indexes,obesity-related indicators and insulin related indexes were analyzed compared after the treatment.Results:ln terms of effectiveness,the treatment group and the control group had certain effects on improving the clinical symptoms,glycolipid metabolism and insulin resistance,and the treatment group was more effective than the control group.In addition,both groups have a certain effect on weight loss,but there is no significant difference between the two groups.In terms of safety,there were no significant abnormal changes in the safety indicators of the two groups before and after treatment.In the course of treatment,no adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal discomfort were observed in both groups.Conclusion:Modified Huang Lian Wen Dan Decoction is safely and effectively used in the treatment of obese type 2 diabetes mellitus.It can improve the clinical symptoms of patients while improving the related clinical indexes.Its clinical value is worthy of further exploration by endocrine clinicians. |
