Objective:To observe the difference of red blood cell distribution width(RDW),serum cystatin C(CysC)and FEV1%in patients with a stable phase of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and normal people. At the same time, the correlation between RDWCysC and FEV1%in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was compared,in order to find other possible ways to assess the stable lung function of COPD.Methods:①98 patients with COPD admitted to the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Hospital from December 2017 to June 2018 were selected as observation groups.98 healthy people in our hospital were selected as the control group.② RDW,CysC and FEV1%values were measured in both groups.③Compare the differences between the two groups.④ Comparison of the relationship between RDW,CysC and FEV1%in the case group.⑤According to the different lung function classification, the difference in the degree of RDW and CysC between the groups was compared.Results:①There were no significant differences in gender, age, smoking history, and BMI between the observation group and the control group(p>0.05).②The RDW and CysC in the case group were higher than the control group, but the FEV1%was lower than the control group(p<0.05).③There was a negative correlation between FEV1%and RDW and CysC in the case group(r=-0.483;r=-0.450).④There were significant differences in CysC and RDW between the patients with different lung function grading in the case group(p<0.05).Conclusion:RDW and CysC were highly expressed in patients with stable phase of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and gradually increased with the decrease of FEV1%,indicating that RDW and CysC are related to the severity of lung function damage, which can be used for follow-up evaluation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The patient’s condition changes during the stable period of the disease.
