Objective:To analyze the expressions of Ebp1 and GPC-3 proteins in HCC and adjacent tissues, and to explore the the correlations between expressions of Ebp1 and GPC-3 and it's clincopathological significance. Methods:Select 82 cases of HCC and its adjacent tissue. The patients were aged between 38 and 81.Record the patient's age, sex, family history, tumor diameter,TNM staging and lymph node metastasis.According to the age, they were divided into two groups:>65 years old group and<65 years old group.According to the size of tumor, they were divided into two groups:diameter>5cm group and?5cm group,According to clinical stage, they were divided into ??? group and ??? stage group.Detect the expression of Ebp1 and gpc-3 protein in the adjacent tissues and tissues of the tumor by immohistochemistry.Analyze the correlation between Ebp1 and gpc-3 protein and its clinicopathological characteristics.Immunohistochemistry was conducted to detect the expression of Ebp1 and GPC-3 proteins in tumor tissues and paracancerous non-tumor tissues.Besides, correlations between the two and their respective relationships with clinicopathologic features were studiedResults:(1)Ebp1 protein expression in tumor tissues of HCC was 46.3%,9.3%higher than that in adjacent tissues. There was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).(2)GPC-3 protein expression in tumor tissues of HCC was 81.7%,6.1%higher than that in adjacent tissues. There was statistically significant difference(P<0.05)(3)Of 38cases of tumor tissues where Ebp1 was positive,35 cases showed positive GPC-3 expression and 3 cases negative expression Of 44 cases of tumor tissues where Ebp1 was negative,32 cases showed positive GPC-3 expression and 12 cases negative expression.Respective expression of the two in tumor tissues was consistent(P<0.05).(4)The overexpression of Ebp1 protein in tumor tissues was positively correlated with clinical staging and lymph node metastasis of tumors(P<0.05)but was not significantly correlated with age, tumor size, gender and family history(5)The overexpression of GPC-3 protein in tumor tissues of hepatocellular carcinoma was correlated with age(P<0.05)but was not significantly correlated with tumor size, lymph node metastasis, tumor size, gender and family history.Conclusion:(1)The high expression of Ebp1 protein is correlated with the TNM stage and lymph node metastasis in hepatocellular carcinoma. It is suggested that the detection of Ebp1 protein expression may play an important role in predicting the metastasis and prognosis of HCC.(2)Ebp1 protein and GPC3 protein were highly expressed in HCC tissue, and their expression was consistent, and their abnormal expression maybe played an important role in the carcinogenesis and development of HCC.
