Objective:To explore the relationship between the expression of SATB1 in diffuse large B cell lymphoma and its clinicopathological features and prognosis.Methods: A total of 68 cases of tissue wax that diffuse large B cell lymphoma were collected from the guangxi medical university tumor hospital,from January 2008 to December 2015.And expression of SATB1 in diffuse large B cell lymphoma tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry,then the correlation between SATB1 expression and clinico-pathologic charcteristics and prognosis were analyzed.Results:Immunohistochemical result has show that SATB1 si mainly express in cytoplasm.The expression rate of SATB1 in diffuse large B cell lymphoma tissues was 66%(45/68).Statistical analysis showed that the expression level of SATB1 was significantly correlated with ECOG score(P <0.05),but was negatively correlated with gender,age,pathological subtype,BCL-2,B symptoms,clinical stage,number of lymph node invasion,LDH level,International Prognostic Index(P > 0.05).The expression of SATB1 showed prognostic relevance for PFS and OS in univariate analyses.The 2-year PFS ofpatients with SATB1 positive expression and those with SATB1 negative expression was 63.6%,36.8% respectively(P=0.044).The 2-year OS of patients with SATB1 positive expression and those with SATB1 negative expression was72.7%,50.3% respectively(P=0.026).Multivariate analysis showed that SATB1 expression was identified as an independent prognostic factor for OS(HR 2.318,95%CI 1.048-5.126,P=0.038),but it was not an independent prognostic factor for PFS(HR 2.100,95%CI 0.989-4.457,P=0.053).Conclusion:1.The SATB1 protein was mainly expressed in cytoplasm detected by immunochemistry in DLBCL.SATB1 was significantly correlated with ECOG performance status.2.SATB1 expression was identified as an independent prognostic factor for OS.The OS of DLBCL patients with SATB1 positive expression is superior than those with SATB1 negative expression.
