Objective: To evaluate the effect of dexmedetomidine in children undergoing general anethesia with sevoflurane by evidence-based method.Method: Search the database of Embase,the Cochrane Library and Pubmed from the date of January 2000 to March 2018.The data were extracted from the research according to the criteria of inclusion and exclusion and Meta analysis was carried out with RevMan 5.3 software.Result: Total of 1007 patients were enrolled in 14 randomized controlled trials.Meta analysis results show that there was strong evidence that dexmedetomidine reduced the incidence of postoperative emergence delirium(OR=0.11,95% CI=[0.08-0.16],P<0.00001).Conclusion: The use of dexmedetomidine during perioperative period can effectively reduce the incidence of emergency delirium in children.
