Objective To evaluate the effects of chronic alcohol exposure on liver injury in rhesus monkeys using multimodal MRI.Materials and Methods Rhesus monkeys(M,n=7),no history of alcohol exposure and history of liver disease. All the tested livers were subjected to the same IDEAL-IQ ?RTr fs T2 FSE ARC?RTr Sag 3D T1 FSPGR and IVIM-DWI sequence scans. The experiment was conducted many times before feeding alcohol(P0 phase)and feeding alcohol for one month(P1 phase),three months(P2 phase)and six months after induction by self-conctrol.The blood was taken from the fasting vein before the scan and sent to the test to obtain the hematological parameters.Subsequently,Scanning of the above four sequences were performed. The images were processed to obtain the ADC,D,D*,f and fat fractions(FF)of the liver by using the ADW4.6 workstation.,and combined with hematological indicators for analysis. Results 1.DWI-IVIM sequence :Overall comparison,ADC value and D value have significant differences.ADC value: P0,P1,P2 and P3,the results were significantly different, but P0 and P1,P0 and P2,P1 and P2,the results were not significantly different.D*value: there was no significant difference between the periods.D value: P0 and P1,P0 and P2,P0 and P3,P2 and P3 have significant differences;P1 and P2,P1 and P3 have no significant differences;f value: there was no significant difference between the periods.2.IDEAL-IQ sequence :Overall comparison, fat fractions have significant differences. There were significant differences between P0 and P2,P0 and P3,P1 and P2,P1 and P3,but no significant differences between P0 and P1,P2 and P3.3.Hematological parameters:Overall comparison,Triglyceride and Ferritin have significant differences.Triglyceride :There were significant differences between P0 and P1,P0 and P2,P0 and P3,P1 and P2,P1 and P1 and P3,but no significant differences between P 2 and P 3.Ferritin:There were significant differences between P1 and P2,P1 and P3,but no significant differences between P0 and P1,P0 and P2,P0 and P3,and P2 and P3.ALT and AST:there was no significant difference between the periods.4.Correlation analysis:Fat fraction was significantly positively correlated with AST and triglyceride index;Fat fraction was not significantly correlated with ALT and ferritin;ADC value was significantly negatively correlated with triglyceride and AST index;ADC value was not significantly correlated with ALT and ferritin index;D value was significantly negatively correlated with triglyceride index;D value was not significantly correlated with ALT ?AST and ferritin index;Fast ADC value and f value were not significantly correlated with triglyceride,ALT,AST and ferritin;ADC value and D value were significantly negatively correlated with fat fraction;Fast ADC value and f value were not significantly correlated with fat fraction. Conclusion Chronic alcohol exposure can cause damage to the liver.Multimodal MRI can be used to quantitatively evaluate it compared with conventional MRI sequences.Alcoholic liver injury did not change significantly in conventional MRI.ADC and D values decreased in IVIM-DWI sequence, and fat fractions increased in IDEAL-IQ sequence, and there was a significant positive or negative correlation between some parameters and hematological indexes..The primate model has reference value for clinical drug research.
