Objective:To observe the changes of visual acuity,metamorphopsia?M?,central foveal thickness?CFT?and vascular displacement in patients with idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane?IMEM?by M-CHARTS table and spectral domain optical coherence tomography?SD-OCT?before and after operation.And analyze whether there is correlation between the indicators.Methods:A prospective study was conducted to analyze 57 patients with monocular IMEM who were diagnosed and included in the study from March 2017 to May 2018 in the ophthalmology department of our hospital,The affected eye was treated as the experimental group and the normal eye as the control group.All eyes underwent phacoemulsification and25G vitrectomy and peeling and intraocular lens implantation.Slit lamp microscopy,indirect ophthalmoscope,Best corrected acuity?BCVA?,SD-OCT,Fluorescein Fundus Angiographic?FFA?and M-CHARTS table and OQASTM II visual quality analyzer were performed before and after operation.The changes of BCVA,CFT and M values including vertical metamorphopsia?MV?and horizontal metamorphopsia?MH?values,the horizontal and vertical distances of macular vascular displacement were observed and compared before and 1 week after operation,1 week and 1month after operation,1 month and 3 months after operation,and 3 months and 6 months after operation.And analyze whether there is correlation between the indicators.Result:1.There were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group before operation?P<0.05?.2.Comparisons of preoperative and postoperative indexes between 1 week,1 week and 1 month,1 month and 3 months,3 months and 6 months:There was no significant difference between preoperative and 1 week after BCVA?Z=-1.738,P=0.082?,there were significant differences in other periods after operation?P<0.05?.There was no significant difference between preoperation and 1 week post-operation for MV values?Z=-1.823,P=0.068?,there were significant differences in other periods after operation?P<0.05?;M and MH values in turn,the difference has statistical significance?P<0.05?.There was no significant difference between preoperation and 1 week post-operation for CFT?Z=-1.383,P=0.167?,there were significant differences in other periods after operation?P<0.05?.The horizontal and vertical distances of vascular displacement in macular region were compared in turn,and the differences were statistically significant?P<0.05?.That is to say,the improvement time of macular vascular displacement and visual deformability after operation is earlier than that of BCVA and CFT.3.Correlation analysis of data before and after IMEM operation in 1 week,1 month,3 months and 6 months:There is no correlation between BCVA and M value?r=0.237?0.241?0.228?0.227?0.125,P>0.05?,there is obvious correlation between M value and CFT?r=0.375?0.392?0.430?0.387?0.451,P<0.05?.There was a significant correlation between MH value and the vertical distance of vascular displacement in the macular region?r=-0.348?-0.376?-0.434?-0.382?-0.321,P<0.05?,but not with the vertical distance of vascular displacement in macular region.?r=-0.315?-0.232?-0.173?-0.205?-0.164,P>0.05?.MV value was significantly correlated with the horizontal distance of vascular displacement in macular region?r=-0.344?-0.321?-0.407?-0.490?-0.477,P<0.05?,but not with the vertical distance of vascular displacement in macular region?r=0.179?0.237?-0.169?-0.290?-0.193,P>0.05?.Conclusion:1.The improvement of macular vascular displacement and visual deformations after IMEM was earlier than that of BCVA and CFT.2.There was no correlation between BCVA and M values before and after IMEM,but there was significant correlation between CFT and M values.3.There was a significant correlation between MH value and the vertical distance of vascular displacement in the macular region,and between MV value and the horizontal distance of vascular displacement in the macular region.4.Surgical treatment is helpful to restore macular morphology and improve visual function.
