Objective:The study aims to evaluate the implementation effect of reporting immunzation information at village levels by mobile phone application(App),and explore the operating mode of the widespread application. Methods:The convenience sampling method was adopted to selected 6 counties in 4 provinces(autonomous regions),including jinsha and liping countries in Guizhou province, tengchong city in Yunnan province, renbu country in Xizang province, hetian and tekesi countries in Xinjiang province, for cross-sectional survey.Collecting the backup files of Immunization unit clients to analyse the application of mobile phone App,reporting quality of children immunizaiton information at village-level and coverage rate for national immunization programme(NIP)vaccines descriptively, and compared with baseline.A questionnaire-based survey was also conducted on APP users to learned about the satisfaction of App users.Logistic regression was used to analyse the factors associated with the satisfaction of the App users.Results:1.The case report rate by mobile phone App was 62.98%,which was 53.10%,46.61%,66.55%,68.20%,70.75%and 78.50%from May to October. And dose report rate by mobile phone App was 63.85%,and from May to October was 54.09%,48.88%,67.65%,68.97%,71.04%and 77.54%respectively.Case report rate and dose report rate by mobile phone app showed an unward trend.2.The timeliness and completeness of vaccination information reporting at village-level was 84.76%and 97.84%in the final evaluation,23.85 and 34.19 percentage points higher than the baseline survey. The input rate of batch numbers, production enterprises and inoculation sites was 99.02%,99.81%and 98.26%respectively in the final evaluation,27.07,26.39 and 27.01 percentage points higher than before.Case matching rate and dose matching rate was 78.15%and 93.66%in the final evaluation,an increase of 36.67 and 4.07 percentage points higher than the baseline.3.Final evaluation shows that the coverage rate of 4 doses of Poliomyelitis Vaccine(PV1~4),Diphtheria and tetanus combined vaccine(DT),2 doses of Group A meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine(MenA1~2),2nd dose of Group A and C meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine(MenAC2),2 doses of Japanese encephalitis attenuated live vaccine(JE-L1~2)have increased by 0.44 to 38.81 percentage points than baseline.4.The satisfaction of app users was 85%,and the district, service cycle of the village vaccination units,WIFI coverage, age of the app users and user type were factors affecting the satisfaction. The satisfaction of APP users in Xizang was lower than that in Guizhou(Xizang:OR=0.02,95%CI:0.12-50.13).The longer of the service cycle, the higher of the satisfaction(weekly/ten-day vaccination:OR=241.39,95%CI:7.03-1000.00;monthly or other vaccination:OR=912.81,95%CI:11.70-1000.00).Without WIFI in the working or living environment could reduce the satisfaction(OR=0.02,95%CI:0.00-0.17).User satisfaction with age over 40 years old was higher than that of users under 40 years old(OR=8.42,95%CI:1.53-46.43).The satisfaction of users who use both APP and immunization unit clients was higher than that users who only used APP(OR=3.00,95%CI:1.14-7.86).Conclusion:1.The timeliness, completeness and accuracy of the vaccination information reporting at village-level can be effectively improved by using mobile phone App.2.The application of mobile phone App helps to improve the coverage rate of NIP vaccines in the study areas.3.Village doctors were highly satisfied with the APP.District, age of the users, service cycle of the vaccination units, user type of the immunization providers, and WIFI coverage were the influence factors associated with users’ satisfaction.4.The mobile phone App is suitable for vaccination units at village-level with inconvenient transportation and no IUC installed.
