Objective: To investigate the expression levels and changes of Prdx1 and Prdx6 in serum of patients with sepsis and their clinical significance. Methods: From January 2018 to July 2018,55 patients with sepsis were admitted to the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Critical Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College. The expression levels of Prdx1 and Prdx6 were measured in venous blood of sepsis patients on the 1st,3rd,5th and 7th day.Meanwhile, the body temperature, white blood cells,PLT,ALT,Cr,PCT,CRP,APACHEII,SOFA,and collection of sepsis patients on the corresponding days were collected.General data of sepsis patients in the admission group were collected, such as sex, age, primary disease, infection site, bacteria,NE,mechanical ventilation or not.The survival status of sepsis patients in the admission group was observed for 60 days. Results: The serum Prdx1 level in septic shock patients was higher than that in sepsis patients, with statistical difference(p < 0.05).The level of serum Prdx6 has no significant difference between the two groups(p > 0.05);the serum Prdx1 level of sepsis patients in APACHEII score > 15 group was significantly higher than that in < 15 group(p < 0.01).The serum levels of Prdx6 in the two groups had no statistical difference(p > 0.05);Follow up for 60 days, the changes of Prdx1 and Prdx6 in the first, third, fifth and seventh days of the two groups were compared dynamically, patients were divided into survival group and death group according to the prognosis. The level of Prdx1 in survival group was significantly lower than that in death group over time(p < 0.01).There was no significant difference in Prdx6 level between the two groups over time(p > 0.05).According to the change of serum Prdx1 of patients with sepsis in the first, third, fifth and seventh days,60-day survival analysis showed that the 60-day survival rate of sepsis patients whose Prdx1 level decreased with time was significantly higher than that of sepsis patients whose Prdx1 level remained unchanged or increased, with significant statistical difference(p < 0.01).Multivariate regression analysis showed that the prognostic factors of sepsis patients were Prdx1 change trend,SOFA score and Prdx6 expression level, with statistical difference(p < 0.05).Conclusion:(1)The expression level of Prdx1 is significantly different in patients with different severity of sepsis. It may paticipate in the deterioration process of sepsis, which can be used as distinguishing the severity index of sepsis;(2)The trend of serum Prdx1 and the expression of Prdx6 are the independent factors of influence the prognosis of sepsis, which can be used as the prognostic indicators of sepsis.
