ObjectiveA randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted to investigate the clinical efficacy of blood letting at Ganshu acupoint in the treatment of essential hypertension due to hyperactivity of liver-fire.MethodsSixty patients with essential hypertension of hyperactivity of liver-fire type were randomly assigned to the treatment group and the control group at a ratio of 1:1,30 in each group, collected from the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine,Guangdong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Treatment group:on the basis of oral nifedipine controlled-release tablets, blood was drawn by puncturing and cupping at Ganshu acupoints on both sides;control group:oral nifedipine controlled-release tablets. The two groups were treated with one week as a course of treatment,a total of three courses of treatment.Observe and record the changes of blood pressure before and after treatment in the two groups, record and compare the improvement of symptoms in the two groups, and make statistical analysis to evaluate the antihypertensive effect of the two treatment methods on hyperactivity of liver and fire type of essential hypertension.ResultsBefore treatment, there was no significant difference in gender, age, hypertension grade, cardiovascular risk stratification and TCM symptom score between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating that the baseline data of the two groups before treatment were comparable. After the treatment, the total effective rate of the two groups was 100%.The comparison between the two groups was P<0.01,which showed that both the treatment group and the control group could effectively reduce blood pressure, and the curative effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group. There were significant differences in blood pressure drop between the two groups at 30,60 and 120 minutes after the first day of treatment(P<0.05).There were significant differences in systolic blood pressure drop between the two groups at 30,60 and 120 minutes after the first course of treatment(P<0.05).There were not necessarily significant differences in diastolic blood pressure drop at 30,60 and 120 minutes after the end of treatment.Comparing the blood pressure drop of the two groups after the second course of treatment for 30 minutes,60 minutes and 120 minutes, the difference was very significant(P<0.01).Comparing the blood pressure drop of 30,60 and 120 minutes after the third course of treatment between the two groups, there was significant difference(P<0.05).Two weeks after the end of treatment, the total effective rate of antihypertensive effect in both groups was 100%.The amplitude of antihypertensive effect in the two groups was compared with P<0.01,which showed that the blood pressure in the two groups was still lower than that in the baseline blood pressure, and the curative effect in the treatment group was obviously better than that in the control group.Significant statistical differences were found between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.01),suggesting that both groups can improve the symptoms of hyperactivity of liver fire syndrome. After 3 courses of treatment and 2 weeks of follow-up,the difference of symptom integral of hyperactivity of liver-fire syndrome between the two groups was significant(P<0.01).The difference of treatment integral in the treatment group was significantly greater than that in the control group, suggesting that the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group in improving the symptoms of hyperactivity of liver-fire syndrome.Conclusion1.Ganshu point puncture, cupping and bloodletting conbined with oral administration of Western medicine and simple oral administration of Western medicine can effectively treat essential hypertension of hyperactivity of liver-fire type, and have obvious effects in lowering blood pressure and improving symptom integral of hyperactivity of liver-fire syndrome.2.Ganshu acupoint puncture and cupping combined with oral administration of Western medicine is superior to oral administration of Western medicine alone in reducing blood pressure and improving the symptom score of hyperactivity of liver-fire syndrome.3.Ganshu point puncture, cupping and bloodletting combined with oral administration of Western medicine is effective, feasible and low-cost in the treatment of primary hypertension of hyperactivity of liver-fire type, which is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
