Objective(1)This research aims to investigate the levels of the coping style level of T2 DM patients through the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire.(2)This research aims to investigate the levels of diabetes-related distress of T2 DM patients through the Diabetes Distress Scale.(3)Improve the coping style of T2 DM patients through health education based on ther apeutic communication system,so as to explore it’s impact on diabetes-related distress.MethodsConvenient sampling method was adopted to divide the 80 patients who met the inclu sion and exclusion criteria into control group and observation group with simple random m ethod.Patients in both groups completed the general demographic data survey on the day of admission, and filled in the simple coping style scale and the diabetes pain scale.Control g roup: routine health education was used.Observation group: health education intervention b ased on therapeutic communication system was used.On the seventh day of hospitalization, the simple coping style scale and the diabetes pain scale were filled out again. Finally, the data were collected and analyzed statistically.Results(1)In this study, the general demographic data, scores of coping styles in all dimensio ns,total scores of diabetes distress and scores in all dimensions of the two groups show no statistical difference(P > 0.05),and the baseline is comparable. The total scores of diabetes distress are 34.00(6.750),and the average scores of totality are 2.00(0.397).The total scores of positive coping dimension are 20.66±5.190,and the average scores of the items are 1.72±0.432.The total scores of negative coping dimension are 7.00(5.000),and the average sc ores of the items are 0.88(0.625).(2)The degree of the scores of all diabetes distress dimensions from high to low is emotional burden, pattern of life related distress,doctor-related distress and interpersonal relationship related distress.Among them, the average scores of emotional burden and pattern of life related distress are higher than the average score of totality. The scores of item 10(Feeling that diabetes controls my life)are the highest in seventeen items.(3)Comparing between the two groups after intervention, total scores of diabetes distr ess,the scores of emotional burden dimension and pattern of life related distress dimension in the observation group are lower than those in the control group, and the differences are both statistically significant(P < 0.05).There is no statistical difference in doctor-related distress dimension and interpersonal relationship dimension(P > 0.05).The scores of positive coping dimension of the observation group are higher than that of the control gr oup, while the scores of negative coping dimension are lower than that of the control group, and the differences are both statistically significant(P < 0.05).(4)After intervention, the total scores of diabetes distress and the scores of each dime nsions in the observation group are lower than those before intervention, and the difference s are both statistically significant(P < 0.05).After intervention, the scores of positive copin g dimension in the observation group are higher than that of before intervention, while the scores of negative coping dimension are lower than that of before intervention, and the diff erences are both statistically significant(P < 0.05).(5)After intervention, the total scores of diabetes distress and the scores of each dime nsions in the control group are lower than those before intervention, and the differences are both statistically significant(P < 0.05).After intervention, the scores of negative coping di mension in the control group are lower than that of before intervention, and the differences are statistically significant(P < 0.05),while the scores of positive coping dimension befor e and after selfintervention are compared, and the difference is not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion(1)The main coping style of T2 DM patients is positive coping.(2)The level of diabetes-related distress of T2 DM patients is in the moderate level.(3)Health education based on therapeutic communication system can improve the copi ng style of T2 DM patients.(4)Health education based on therapeutic communication system can reduce the level of diabetes-related distress of T2 DM patients.(5)The coping style of T2 DM patients may be the mechanism affecting the diabetesrelated distress.(6)Health education based on therapeutic communication system is better than conven tional health education in the intervention of coping style of T2 DM patients.(7)Health education based on therapeutic communication system is better than conven tional health education in the intervention of diabetesrelated distress, emotional burden dimension and pattern of life related distress dimension.
