Objective:To explore the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors of temporary central venous CRBSI in patients with end-stage renal disease, and to provide a reference for reducing the incidence of infection and formulating corresponding nursing interventions. Methods:A total of 388 patients were selected who were hospitalizing in nephrology department at the North Jiangsu People's Hospital during Jan.2013 to Dec.2016 and treated with temporary central venous catheters for hemodialysis. They were divided into infection groups and non-infection groups according to whether CRBSI occurred.Retrospective collection of patient clinical data. The clinical material of patients were analyzed by SPSS 18.0,and P<0.05 was defined as statistical significance.Results:1.There was no statistical difference in age, gender and primary disease between the two groups.2.There is a statistically significant difference in the infection rate of CRBSI in patients with diabetes and non-combined diabetes(P<0.05).3.The difference of infection rate between the intubation site, retention time and the number of times were statistically significant.4.Comparing the blood index of infection group and non-infection group, there were significant differences in WBC,albumin, ferritin,PTH,calcitonin and C-reactive protein. There was no significant difference in hemoglobin, serum iron, calcium and phosphorus between the two groups.5.Multiple factor Logistic regression analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups of patients with diabetes, serum albumin level, and number of catheters. Conclusions:Combined diabetes, increased number of catheters and malnutrition are risk factors of temporary central venous catheter-related bloodstream infections in hemodialysis patients with end-stage renal disease.
