middle-aged and elderlypeople and the depression status under different classifications were analyzed.Secondly, the binary Logistic regression analysis method was used to make an empirical analysis on the influential factors of the depression of middle-aged and elderly people, and to study the degree of the influence of various influencing factors on the depression of middle-aged and elderly people. Finally, the factors affecting depression in middle-aged and elderly people in urban and rural conditions were compared and analyzed. The following conclusions are drawn:First, the current living alone. In addition, the financial assets owned by middle-aged and elderly people are negatively correlated with the probability of depression.Sixth, the influence of social factors on depression is mainly reflected in whether they have access to community medical services and whether they have pension insurance. The results of this study indicate that access to community medical services is a risk factor for depression in middle-aged and elderly people, while having endowment insurance is a protective factor for depression in middle-aged and elderly people.Seventh,by comparing the regression results of the rural model and the urban model,it is found that there are some differences in the influencing factors of depression in the middle-aged and elderly under the rural and urban conditions.Compared with urban areas, the depression status of middle-aged and elderly people in rural areas is affected by a wider range of factors. In addition to several significant variables shown
