ObjectiveThrough observing the clinical effect of thunder-fire moxibustion and moxibustion on perimenopausal syndrome of kidney-yang deficiency type, this study explored the feasibility of thunder-fire moxibustion as an external treatment to improve perimenopausal syndrome of kidney-yang deficiency type, and provided basis for clinical treatment,MethodSixty cases of perimenopausal syndrome of kidney-yang deficiency type were divided into two groups according to random number table. The two groups were treatment group and control group respectively,33 cases in each group. The cases mainly came from the rehabilitation nursing center ward of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, outpatient clinic with traditional Chinese medicine characteristics and gynecological clinic. The treatment group received thunder-fire moxibustion, while the control group received moxibustion. The operation methods and course of treatment in the two groups were as follows:Qihai,Guanyuan,Zhongji and Zigong were taken for single treatment, and Yaoyangguan and Ciliao Poi-nts were taken for double treatment.During the treatment,long-bucket moxibustion box was used and covered with a long towel. Each treatment lasted 20 minutes, twice a week, and lasted for 4 weeks, totally 8 times. The improved Kupperman(KI)scale and Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)were used to evaluate the improvement of related symptoms and anxiety in perimenopausal women.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS17.0 software.Result1.According to the evaluation criteria, the total effective rate of thunder-fire moxibustion group was 96.67%,and that of moxibustion group was 90.91%.The total effective rate of thunder-fire moxibustion group was higher than that of moxibustion group, with statistical significance(P<0.01).2.On the total score of KI,the scores of thunder-fire moxibustion group and moxibustion group after treatment were lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).After treatment, the KI score of thunder-fire moxibustion group was significantly lower than that of moxibustion group(P<0.05).In terms of KI symptoms score, compared before and after treatment, except for osteoarthritis and headache, the other 11 symptoms of thunder-fire moxibustion group were improved(P<0.05).Compared with the moxibustion group before and after treatment, except insomnia, mood fluctuation, palpitation and skin ant walking sensation(P<0.05),the other 9 symptoms were improved(P<0.05).After treatment, there were significant differences in sensory abnormality(P<0.01),insomnia(P<0.01),mood fluctuation(P<0.01),sexual life(P<0.01),urinary infection(P<0.05)between two groups.3.In TCM syndrome integral, the scores of thunder-fire moxibustion group and moxibustion group after treatment were lower than those before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment, the TCM syndrome integral of thunder-fire moxibustion group was significantly lower than that of moxibustion group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).4.In SAS score, after treatment, the scores of thunder-fire moxibustion group and moxibustion group were lower than those before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment, the SAS score of thunder-fire moxibustion group was significantly lower than that of moxibustion group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).5.No adverse reactions such as scald or allergy occurred during the treatment.ConelusionBoth thunder-fire moxibustion and moxibustion can improve the related symptoms and anxiety of perimenopausal women with kidney-yang deficiency, and the therapeutic effect of thunder-fire moxibustion was better.Thunder-fire moxibustion is worthy of clinical promotion.
