ObjectiveTo understand the colonization rate, colonization strains, influencing factors and in vitro drug sensitivity test results of asymptomatic women of childbearing age in Guangzhou, analyze the constitutional characteristics of asymptomatic women of childbearing age with vaginal Candida colonization, and provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis.MethodsThe subjects filled out the Classification and Judgment Form of Chinese Medicine Constitution and Questionnaire on Health Knowledge and Behavior of Female Childbearing Age issued by the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine truthfully, the researchers filled in the Data Collection Form of Female Childbearing Age according to the actual situation of the subjects, according to the Characteristic Form of Nine Constitution Types of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Classification and Classification and Judgment Criteria of Constitution in Traditional Chinese Medicine evaluating the constitutional types of taditional Chinese Medicine of the subjects. In addition,310 asymptomatic women of childbearing age were examined for vaginal secretions by leucorrhea routine and fungal culture, and the collected strains were identified by colour development and drug sensitivity test in vitro.Results1.In this study, routine microscopic examination of vaginal secretions of 310 asymptomatic women of childbearing age revealed 16 cases of Candida albicans and 30 cases of yeast-like colonies in fungal culture.2.Thirty strains were transformed into Komaja medium. After incubation for 48 hours in a constant temperature box at 30℃,16(Candida albicans)colony colours were light green and emerald green, and 14(non-Candida albicans)colony colours were dark blue, blue grey and other colours.3.The sensitivity of 30 Candida isolates to amphotericin B,5-fluorocytosine,voriconazole,fluconazole and itraconazole were 100%,93.33%,86.66%,63.33%and 60%,respectively.4.Of the 30 asymptomatic women of childbearing age with Candida vaginalis colonization,8 lived in humid environments and 22 lived in moderate or dry environments.5.Of the 30 asymptomatic women of childbearing age with Candida colonization,12 had suffered from vulvovaginal candidiasis and 18 had no history of vulvovaginal candidiasis.6.The colonization rate of Candida vaginalis in women aged 20 to 39 and 40 to 45 was tested by Chi-square test(P=0.276>0.5),and the colonization rate of Candida in women who had undergone or had not undergone vaginal irrigation was tested by Chi-square test(P=0.153>0.05).Fisher’s exact probability method was used to test the Candida colonization rates of women with different loose clothing and women with different texture underwear. It was found that there was no significant difference in P1=0.721>0.05,P2=0.513>0.05.There was no significant difference in the Candida colonization rates of the two groups with pregnancy times>2 and pregnancy times<2,P=0.928>0.05.7.The type of TCM constituton of 30 women with colonization of vaginal Candida is mainly single constitution, with 24 cases in total, accounting for 80%of the population with vaginal Candida colonization. The main types of single constitution are the normal quality, the qi deficiency physique, the Yang deficiency constitution, the phlegm-dampness constitution and the Qi stagnation constitution, there were 4 females(13.33%)in each group. The second was damp-heat constitution in 3 cases(10%),and only 1 Yin deficiency constitution.Non-single constitution types are the combination of Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency, blood stasis and Qi constitution.Conclusion1.The colonization rate of vaginal Candida in asymptomatic women of childbearing age in Guangzhou was 9.67%.2.Candida albicans was the dominant species of vaginal Candida colonization in asymptomatic women of childbearing age in Guangzhou, accounting for 53.3%.3.Vaginal colonization of Candida in asymptomatic women of childbearing age in Guangzhou is more sensitive to voriconazole, amphotericin B and 5-fluorocytosine,but less sensitive to itraconazole and fluconazole.4.The colonization rate of vaginal Candida was higher in women of childbearing age who had suffered from vulvovaginal candidiasis. The colonization rate of vaginal Candida was higher in women of childbearing age who lived in humid environment than in moderate or dry environment. The history of vulvovaginal candidiasis and humid living environment were the risk factors of vaginal Candida colonization.5.Age,number of pregnancies, clothing habits and vaginal irrigation had no significant effect on the colonization of vaginal Candida in women of childbearing age.6.Women of childbearing age with colonization of vaginal Candida have deficiency of constitution(Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency)and dampness(phlegm dampness, dampness and heat). The normal constitution was the main constitution type of childbearing age women without vaginal Candida colonization, followed the phlegm-dampness constitution, the qi deficiency physique, the Qi stagnation constitution and the Haemostasis constitution.
