Aims:To research the expression of carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1(CEACAM1)and tumor sippressor candidate 4(TUSC4)in laterally spreading tumor(LST),to discuss the mechanism of action and clinical significance of CEACAM1and TUSC4 in LST.Methods:Pathological specimens are 30 cases of LST,30 cases of adenomatous polyp of the colon(APC),30 cases of the colorectal cancer(CC),30 cases of normal colonic mucosa(NCE)were collected from Chenzhou No.1 People'Hospital between January 2015 to August2018 as research objects.The expression of CEACAM1 and TUSC4 in each groups of tissues were examined by immunohistochemical method.Statistical analysis was performed on SPSS23.00.Results:1.The positive expression rate of CEACAM1:CEACAM1 was highly expressed in LST group,APC group and CC group,CEACAM1was low expressed in NCE group.The positive expression rate of CEACAM1 in LST group(70.00%)was higher than that in APC group(43.33%)(?~2=4.344,P=0.037)and NCE group(23.33%)(?~2=13.125,P<0.001),the positive expression rate of CEACAM1 in CC group(83.33%)was higher than that in APC group(?~2=10.335,P=0.001)and that in NCE group(?~2=21.696,P<0.001).The positive expression rate of CEACAM1 in LST group was not significantly different from that in CC group(?~2=1.491,P=0.222).The positive expression rate of APC group was higher than that in NCE group(?~2=8.681,P=0.003).2.The expression intensity of CEACAM1:the expression intensity of CEACAM1 in the LST group,APC group and CC group was significantly higher than that in the NCE group(Z=-4.060,P<0.001;Z=-1.994,P=0.046;Z=-5.200,P<0.001),the expression intensity of CEACAM1 in the CC group was higher than that in the LST group(Z=-1.995,P=0.046)and APC group(Z=-3.580,P<0.001),and the expression intensity of CEACAM1 in the LST group was higher than that in the APC group(Z=-2.021,P=0.043).3.The positive expression rate of TUSC4:the positive expression rate of TUSC4 in the LST group(40.00%)was lower than that in the APC group(63.33%)(?~2=4.286,P=0.038)and that in the NCE group(90.00%)(?~2=16.484,P<0.001),the positive expression rate of TUSC4 in the CC group(16.67%)was lower than that in the APC group(?~2=15.429,P<0.001)and that in the NCE group(?~2=32.411,P<0.001),the positive expression rate of TUSC4 in the CC group was also lower than that in the LST group(?~2=4.022,P=0.045),the positive expression rate of TUSC4 in the APC group was lower than that in the NCE group(?~2=4.812,P=0.028).4.The expression intensity of TUSC4:the expression intensity of TUSC4 in the CC group was lower than that in the LST group(Z=-1.979,P=0.048),APC group(Z=-4.033,P<0.001)and NCE group(Z=-5.698,P<0.001),the expression intensity of TUSC4 in the LST group was lower than that in the APC group(Z=-2.598,P=0.009)and NCE group(Z=-4.488,P<0.05),the expression intensity of TUSC4 in the APC group was lower than that in the NCE group(Z=-2.150,P=0.032).5.Correlation analysis between CEACAM1 and TUSC4:the positive expression of CEACAM1 was negatively correlated with the positive expression of TUSC4 in both the LST group and CC group.The correlation coefficient in the LST group was r=-0.648(P<0.001).The correlation coefficient in CC group was r=-0.674(P<0.001).Conclusions:1.Compared with the normol colonic mucosa,CEACAM1 is highly expressed in laterally spreading tumors,adenomatous polyp of the colon and coloractal cancer.The positive expression rate and expression intensity of CEACAM1 in the laterally spreading tumors are higher than those in the adenomatous polyp of the colon,which may be related to the potential Carcinogenesis risk of the laterally spreading tumors.2.Compared with the normol colonic mucosa,the expression of TUSC4 is decreased in laterally spreading tumors,adenomatous polyp of the colon and coloretal cancer.The positive expression rate and expression intensity of TUSC4 in the laterally spreading tumors are lower than those in the adenomatous polyp of the colon,which may be related to the potential carcinogenesis of the laterally spreading tumors.3.There is a negative correlation between CEACAM1 and TUSC4expression in the laterally spreading tumors.High expression of CEACAM1 and low expression of TUSC4 may synergistically promote the potential carcinogenesis of the laterally spreading tumors.
