Object To investigate the clinical efficacy of intravenous infusion lidocaine in the treatment of herpetic neuralgia.Method 40 patients with herpes zoster in acute stage and 40 patients in subacute stage were collected from the outpatient and inpatient department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of University of South China from March 2018 to October 2018.According to the course of disease, the patients were divided into two groups: group A(herpes zoster in acute stage)and group B(herpes zoster in subacute phase). Each groups were randomly divided into two groups: A1,A2 and B1,B2.A1 and B1 were treated by intravenous infusion lidocaine hydrochloride injection combined with conventional drugs,A2 and B2 were treated by conventional drugs. Then,to evaluate the patient visual analogue score and quality of sleep on admission and at 1 day,3 days,7 days,14 days,30 days,60 days and 90 days after the injection of lidocaine hydrochloride. And self-rating depression scale on admission and at 7days,14 days,30 days,60 days and 90 days after the injection of lidocaine hydrochloride.Result 1.There was no significant difference in age,sex ratio, pain area,VAS score,QS score and SDS score on admission among the four groups.2.The VAS scores,QS scores and SDS scores of the four groups at all time points after treatment were lower than those on admission. The VAS,QS and SDS scores of A1 was significantly lower than those of A2,the VAS,QS and SDS scores of B1 was significantly lower than those of B2,and the difference was statistically significant.(p < 0.05).3.There was no significant difference in the incidence of postherpetic neuralgia between A1 and A2,as well as B1 and B2.4.There was no significant difference in adverse reactions among the four groups. Conclusion The treatment of herpetic neuralgia by intravenous infusion of lidocaine combined with conventional drugs is better than that of traditional drug therapy.
