Objective:To explore serum parathyroid hormone related protein(PTHrP),C-reactive protein(CRP),albumin(Alb),calcium(Ca)level changes and clinical significance in cancer patients, providing reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cancer cachexia. Methods:A total of 70 cases were collected from September 2017 to May 2018 in the oncology department of shanxi medical university and diagnosed as colorectal cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer by pathological biopsy.Regard these patients as experimental group.According to the international cancer cachexia diagnostic criteria, the experimental group was divided into cachexia group and non-cachexia group, including 29 cases in cachexia group and 41 cases in non-cachexia group. At the same time,30 people with strict exclusion of tumors and other consumptive diseases were collected as control group.Serum levels of PTHrP and CRP were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)in experimental group and control group.Serum levels of Alb and Ca were measured by AU5800 biochemistry analyzer.Body weight changes were collected and followed up.Calculate the meanąstandard deviation. All data were statistically analyzed using SPSS22.0 software. Results:The concentrations of serum PTHrP,CRP,Alb and Ca in cachexia group,non-cachexia group, and control group were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a significant positive correlation between serum PTHrP and CRP,Ca in cancer patients(r=0.822,P<0.01;r=0.756,P<0.01).There was a significant negative correlation between PTHrP and Alb(r=-0.842,P<0.01).The correlation is especially reflected in the cachexia group. There was no significant difference in serum PTHrP levels between patients with different tumor types(P>0.05),and the percent weight loss(WL%)was statisticallysignificant(P<0.01).There were significant differences in serum PTHrP levels between different cancer stages(P<0.05),and the WL% was no significant difference(P>0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that serum PTHrP,CRP and Alb had an effect on cancer-related weight loss(P<0.05),and serum PTHrP had the greatest impact on body weight loss in cancer patients. Conclusion:The levels of PTHrP and CRP in human serum were positively correlated with weight loss in cancer patients.Alb level was negatively correlated with weight loss, suggesting that combined detection of serum PTHrP,CRP and Alb can predict the occurrence of cancer cachexia.Provide a theoretical basis.
