Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture at Baliao point on urinary retention after operation of mixed hemorrhoids through a randomized controlled study, and to explore the mechanism of acupuncture at Baliao point on this disease. Methods: From January 2018 to December 2018,90 patients with urinary retention were hospitalized in anorectal department of Sichuan Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine because of mixed hemorrhoids and met the diagnosis and inclusion criteria of the trial design.According to the order in which the patients entered the trial, they were randomly divided into acupuncture group, western medicine group and hot compress group, acupuncture group was punctured at Baliao point, and western medicine group was injected with neostigmine methylsulfate injection intramuscularly. The patients in the hot compress group were treated with hot water bag hot compress on the suprapubic bladder area. The general data of all patients(sex, age, number of mixed hemorrhoids),the first urination time and volume after the beginning of treatment, the score of symptoms and signs, the number of cured, improved and catheterized patients after the end of the trial were observed and recorded. The treatment times, complications, adverse reactions, safety, treatment measures and prognosis of the cured patients were compared.the clinical efficacy of the three methods in the treatment of urinary retention after operation of mixed hemorrhoids was compared.Results:1.The general data were statistically analyzed.there was no significant difference in sex,age and the number of mixed hemorrhoids between the three groups(P > 0.05),and there was no significant difference between the three groups(P > 0.05).2.The analysis of clinical curative effect showed that 26 cases were cured,2 cases were improved and 2 cases were catheterized in the acupuncture group.the cure rate was 86.67% and the effective rate was 93.33%.In the western medicine group,21 cases were cured,4 cases were improved,5 cases were catheterized, the cure rate was 70.00%,the effective rate was 83.33%,17 cases were cured and 4 cases were improved in the hot compress group.Urethral catheterization was performed in 9 cases, the cure rate was 56.67% and the effective rate was 70.00%.The clinical curative effect of the three groups was better than that of the western medicine group and the hot compress group, and the difference was statistically significant,(P < 0.05).3.The first urination time and voiding volume, the score of symptoms and signs at the end of the trial, and the treatment times of cured patients in the acupuncture group were better than those in the western medicine group and hot compress group, and the difference was statistically significant,(P < 0.05).Conclusion: The clinical efficacy of acupuncture at Baliao point in the treatment of urinary retention after operation of mixed hemorrhoids is better than that of intramuscular injection of neostigmine mesylate and hot compress of suprapubic cyst.this method has the characteristics of remarkable curative effect, simple operation and high safety. It is worth popularizing in clinical treatment.
