Serum gamma-glutamyltransferase is an enzyme that catalyzes gamma-glutamyltransferase reaction on the outer surface of cell membrane.It is widely distributed in human tissues and participates in the metabolism of glutathione.In the past,it was often used as a biomonitoring indicator for liver dysfunction and excessive drinking.In recent years,more and more studies have suggested that serum gamma-glutamyltransferase is closely related to the occurrence and development of coronary heart disease,hypertension and heart failure and so on.This article reviews the research status of the relationship between serum gamma-glutamyltransferase and cardiovascular diseases. |
