Objective:To explore the relationship between ambient temperature variation and the incidence of ischemic stroke. Methods:Retrospectively analyzed 5,730 ischemic stroke patients hospitalized in Tianjin Medical University Second Hospital neurology and geriatrics department and temperature data in the same period, the relationship between with blood pressure variation and the onset of acute ischemic stroke, then analyzed the relationship between temperature and blood pressure in patients with acute ischemic stroke.Results:(1)Ischemic stroke onset showed a trend of increased year by year, and the onset age of men earlier than women(69.81±12.43 VS 73.75±10.54,P=0.000),Monthly average incidence of men were significantly higher than women(56.07±11.44 VS 39.47±8.86,P=0.048).(2)Onset number of ischemic stroke slightly less in spring and summer and slightly more in the autumn and winter. But there was no significant statistically differences.Hypertension patient was significantly correlated with incidence of ischemic stroke(?2=13.071,P=0.000).(3)From February 2011 to January 2011,overall acute ischemic stroke in turbulence rising trend, and the statistical difference was founded(P=0.000),no matter what the gender and age groups or the history of hypertension in morbidity number, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(4)Monthly diurnal temperature range were positively correlated with the incidence of female patients(r=-0.256,P=0.048),that is,the greater the monthly mean temperature difference, the more female patients suffer from the disease.monthly average maximum temperature(r=-0.315,P=0.014)and the monthly average minimum temperature(r=-0.319,P=0.013)were positively correlated with the aged patients over 90 years old with ischemic stroke.(5)The daily maximum temperature decline were positively correlated with onset of ischemic stroke, especially with male, the patient has hypertension and the aged patients between 60-89 years old,the difference was statistically significant.(6)The incidence of ischemic stroke was increasing year by year,77.28% of patients with hypertension, and the incidence of the disease was significantly correlated(P=0.000),most of them are male.(7)Systolic and diastolic blood pressure were higher in male with hypertension than in female(SBP:153.92±21.71 VS 150.72±23.55;DBP:85.90±13.34 VS 83.03±12.53),the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).(8)The systolic and diastolic blood pressure levels of the patients in autumn and winter were slightly higher than those in spring and summer.(9)The monthly mean maximum temperature and the monthly mean minimum temperature were negatively correlated with the patients' systolic blood pressure. There was a linear positive correlation between the monthly average diurnal temperature range and systolic and diastolic blood pressure.(10)Monthly average highest temperature drop per 1 ?,systolic blood pressure rise by 0.088 mm Hg;Monthly average lowest temperature drop per 1 ?,systolic blood pressure rise by 0.076 mm Hg;Monthly average diurnal temperature range every increase 1 ?,systolic blood pressure rise by 1.043 mm Hg and 0.654 mm Hg diastolic blood pressure.(11)The TC?LDL-c?VLDL-c?HDL-c of female patients was higher than that of male patients, and the LDL/HDL was lower(5.13±1.25 VS 4.62±1.10;1.16±0.34 VS 1.03±0.30;0.77±0.43 VS 0.65±0.35;3.20±0.99 VS 2.95±0.89;3.00±1.24 VS 3.08±1.19,P<0.05);With the increase of age,the incidence of stroke increased gradually, but the level of blood lipids generally showed a downward trend(P < 0.05).(12)The VLDL-c and LDL/HDL were higher in summer than in other three seasons, but HDL-c was lower(P<0.05).And the similar trends were observed in elderly patients with seasonal changes.(P < 0.05),but this phenomenon was not found in young and middle-aged patients. Conclusion:The ambient temperature variation is the influence factors of ischemic stroke morbidity and mortality,in season alternation and cold wave hit temperatures dropping should strengthen medical meteorological monitoring and reporting, the high-risk groups such as elderly and hypertension patients should be strengthened blood pressure monitoring and maintain blood pressure stability as far as possible, reduce outdoor activities and be sure to keep warm when bad weather coming, adjust the small environment of living space,in this way,we can prevent and reduce the onset of ischemic stroke effectively. The level of blood lipid in patients with acute stroke is decreasing with age.Seasonal changes have an impact on the level of blood lipid in elderly patients, but the short-term serum lipid variation impact on the incidence of stroke is not exact.
