Objective:This article aims to compare and analyze the effect of postoperative chemotherapy on the prognosis of patients with stage ?A-?B HER2-negative breast cancer who have not received pCR after neoadjuvant chemotherapy,in order to explore the value of postoperative chemotherapy. Methods:Retrospective analysis of clinical and pathological data of 403 patients with HER2-negative stage ?A-?B breast cancer without pCR after neoadjuvant chemotherapy received from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital from January 2011 to December 2015,of which 162 patients were treated Replenishing chemotherapy(supplemented chemotherapy group),241 patients did not receive supplemental chemotherapy(not supplemented with chemotherapy group). The differences in 3-year disease-free survival rate and the factors affecting recurrence and metastasis were analyzed in the two groups. The clinicopathological features of all cases were analyzed, all variables were analyzed by single factor analysis, and the prognostic factors were analyzed by multivariate analysis. Results:The median follow-up time was 38 months in all patients, and 136(33.7%)patients in the whole group had recurrence or metastasis. The supplemental chemotherapy group improved the 3-year disease-free survival rate compared with the unsupplemented chemotherapy group(79.0% vs 70.1%,P=0.015),the difference was statistically significant.Univariate analysis showed that ER&PR status,Ki67 expression and postoperative chemotherapy were the influencing factors of disease-free survival in patients with HER2-negative ?A-?B breast cancer(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that chemotherapy was not added after surgery(HR=1.471,P=0.036)and ER(-)and PR(-)(HR=1.673,P=0.005)were independent factors influencing the prognosis of disease-free survival in patients with HER2-negative ?A-?B breast cancer. Conclusion:Postoperative chemotherapy can improve the disease-free survival rate of patients with stage ?A-?B HER2-negative breast cancer who have not received pCR after neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Patients with hormone receptor-negative breast cancer have a poor prognosis.
