21 century is a "brain science" century,and with the development of the nuclear magnetic resonance technology,the studies of functional magnetic resonance imaging based on blood oxygen level dependent signal(BOLD-fMRI)have become one of the hot spots in the contemporary cognitive neuroscience research.BOLD-fMRIs in resting state have been more and more researchers' favor because of its capacity to reflect human instinct activity without external stimulations.As one of the human born abilities which were different from other species on the earth,the study of language has long been a hot spot among the cognitive neuroscience researchers,and the location of language related functional brain areas and their functional connectivity were of great significance for the prevention and diagnosis of various diseases in the language system or other nervous systems.In this article,we have investigated the resting state fMRI data of two group subjects(right-hand group and left-hand group,98 totally)based on group independent component analysis(Group ICA),made ICA estimates for all subjects,calculated the correlation coefficients between two independent components which met the experimental requirements,and then tried to create undirected diagrams of the functional connectivity of two groups to discuss the relationship between the dominant hand and the human language processing mechanism,or could the dominant hand be used as a marker of the dominant hemisphere of human language ?The experiment in this article was composed by three parts: the pre-process of BOLD-fMRI data used in experiment,ICA estimation of the data,the construction and analysis of the resting state functional network connectivity undirected diagrams and the group characteristic analysis of different subject groups.In this article,we also introduced the theories and methods in each steps,and the parameters setting in the data acquisition.Some conclusions were drawn as follows: first,there existed several spatially independent functional networks in resting brain,which cooperated together to complete the humans' physiological and physical activities;second,the whole human's language function,e.g.the language formation and processing,was completed by a number of brain areas together.Normally,the left hemisphere brain was the language dominant hemisphere and meanwhilewas also the brain areas' location which controlled the hand activity,there was no difference unless left or right dominant hand,that meant the dominant hand wasn't a symbol of judging somebody's dominant language hemisphere.As an experiment method which was only dependent on the experiment data,ICA could analysis several low frequency brain physiological signals and discover several elusive results or unexpected conclusions,which would make ICA widely used in the study of functional neuroimaging and have an important role in promoting the development of this field.
