Objective: To detect the expression of transforming growth factor β-induced gene(TGFBI)in gastric mucosa of Han and Hui patients with gastric cancer(GC)in Qinghai area, and to analyze the differences and relationships of TGFBI in different national gastric cancer tissues and juxtacancerous tissues(JCT),as well as to explore the relationship between TGFBI expression and the pathogenesis of gastric cancer, and to provide more clinical research basis for exploring the pathogenesis of gastric cancer and formulating prevention and treatment measures. Methods: A total of 60 samples of gastric cancer tissues(30)and juxtacancerous tissues(30)from Han and Hui gastric cancer patients diagnosed by digestive endoscopy and biopsy were selected to detect the expression of TGFBI in gastric mucosa by immunohistochemistry,so as to compare whether there was a statistically significant difference in TGFBI expression between the same tissue of Han and Hui ethnic groups and different tissues of the same ethnic group, and whether TGFBI expression was correlated with the stage of the disease. Results: 1.The positive expression rate of TGFBI was 66.67% and 30.00% in the gastric cancer and juxtacancerous tissues group, respectively;and gastric cancer tissues revealed significantly higher expression than juxtacancerous tissues, which with statistically significant difference in TGFBI expression(P < 0.05);2.There was no significant difference in TGFBI expression between gastric cancer tissues from Han and Hui gastric cancer patients compared with gastric cancer and between juxtacancerous tissues and juxtacancerous tissues(P > 0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference in TGFBI expression in different pathological tissues between Han and Hui gastric cancer patients(P < 0.05);3.The positive rate of TGFBI expression was significantly different from that of gastric cancer with various degrees of differentiation, depth of invasion,TNM stage,with/out distant metastasis, and with/out lymph node metastasis(P < 0.05);4.There was no significant difference between the positive rate of TGFBI in gastric cancer tissues and patients’ gender, age, and tumor size(P > 0.05).Conclusions: 1.The TGFBI expression of gastric cancer patients was significantly higher than juxtacancerous tissues, suggesting that TGFBI differed between gastric cancer tissues and juxtacancerous tissues. There was no significant difference in comparison of TGFBI expression between gastric cancer and gastric cancer, juxtacancerous tissues and juxtacancerous tissues in Han and Hui patients with gastric cancer, respectively. There are differences in different pathological tissues, suggesting that TGFBI expression is upregulated in gastric cancer tissues.2.The expression of TGFBI increased gradually in gastric cancer patients with the decrease of tumor differentiation, the deepening of tumor invasion and the occurrence of lymph node metastasis, suggesting that the expression of TGFBI may be related to the stage and differentiation of the disease.Dynamic detection of TGFBI expression in gastric cancer patients may provide a reference for new therapeutic direction and predicting prognosis of gastric cancer.
