Objective:To evaluate the effects of solid lipid nanoparticles(SLNs)drug delivery system for glioblastoma models and to estimate if the brain targeting mechanism was a good strategy to enhance the effects of SLNs drug delivery system for glioblastoma, and which site was the optimal target. Methods: Four eligible literatures were included in meta-analysis to evaluate the effect of solid lipid nanoparticles(SLNs)delivery system on glioblastoma animal models.Determine the key words related to the research topic, search the relevant subject words and free words in Pubmed database, then establish and improve the detection strategy, search the relevant literature in Pubmed and Embase database, establish the criteria of literature screening, and screen the literature retrieved, first through reading the title and abstract of the literature, and then through reading the full text of the literature. The documents included in meta-analysis are determined according to the exclusion criteria, and the results are the same through repeated operations until two screenings.According to the needs of research data analysis,a data extraction form is established, and the data in the literature are extracted independently by two people. After checking the consistency of the extracted data, when the inconsistency is found, the data are checked together to reach consensus through Revman software. The sub-groups were set up according to different conditions, and the results were compared and analyzed. The sub-group analysis included: the comparison of tumor inhibition rates of different drugs, the comparison of tumor inhibition rates of different parts of tumors, the comparison of tumor inhibition rates of different targets, and the time of action of different drugs. Results:The inhibition rate of total tumors was 0.52(95% CI 0.30-0.53).The subgroup analysis of the study show that no matter the tumor site was in the brain or not,the tumor inhibition rates were similar(P=0.76),and c-MET siRNA-SLNs had best performance for tumor inhibition rate which was 0.69(95% CI 0.42-0.95).The tumor inhibition rate of the over-20-day-group was 0.60(95%CI 0.50-0.69),higher than other subgroups. Conclusion: Our study suggested that SLNs drug delivery system would benefit the therapy for glioblastoma mouse models. Therefore,SLNs drug delivery system could be recommended as a potential available therapy for glioblastoma in clinical trials. And c-MET siRNA-SLNs show the optimal effects in the models,siRNA become a better choice to teat GBM.
