Objective: To explore and analyze the epidemiology, pathogen distribution and drug resistance of ICU inpatients from Chaoyang area of Liaoning, and to provide evidence and therapeutic recommendations for the infection prevention and control of ICU inpatients. Methods: A retrospective survey was conducted to analyze the clinical data of patients who were hospitalized in 3 level hospitals in Chaoyang area from 2014 to 2016.Different infection sites, nosocomial infection and microbial infection in different pathogens were identified. Results: All cases of hospital infection, the positive results for the number of cases was980 cases;the percents of gram-negative bacteria,gram-positive bacteria and fungi was67.65%,20%,12.35% respectively, the numbers showed a significant growth trend were Klebsiella Bacillus RAPOO Bauman Acinetobacter,Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans,catheter-related bloodstream infections were dominated by Klebsiella pneumoniae(61.3%),Staphylococcus aureus(28.7%),Staphylococcus epidermidis(7.6%).Conclusion: The pathogenic bacteria in ICU of Liaoning Chaoyang area and the literature reported of common microbial pathogen distribution were roughly the same, but the different parts of etiology distribution and growth has its own characteristics, the results have a great impact on the prevention and control measures for nosocomial infection and guidance. We should strengthen the prevention and control of hospital infection, and to reduce the infection rate and mortality of ICU infection.
