Effect Of Paroxetine Combined With Alprazolam On Left Ventricular Function And Exercise Tolerance In Patients With Stable Coronary Heart Disease And Anxiety Depression State

Objective: To explore the efficacy and clinical signification of paroxetine combined with alprazolam on left ventricular function and exercise tolerance in patients with stable coronary heart disease and anxiety depression state.Methods: We selected patients with confirmed diagnosis of stable coronary heart disease from the Chengdu Second People's Hospital in December 2017 to December 2018.A total of 88 patients suffered from anxiety and depression state were graded by Somatic Self-rating Scale(SSS),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS).According to whether they received anti-anxiety and depression drugs,they were divided into anti-anxiety and depression treatment group(treatment group)and non anti-anxiety and depression treatment group(control group).Both groups received standard coronary heart disease treatments,moreover the treatment group received paroxetine and alprazolam.we recorded patients' left ventricular function(represented by left ventricular ejection fraction,LVEF),exercise tolerance(represented by the percentage of the maximum exercise amount over the predicted maxima measured by the ECG bicycle exercise test)and the above psychological scale scores in detail.All the patients were followed up for 3 months,to compare the treatment effects in both groups.Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of gender,age,coronary heart disease course,symptom duration and previous history(P>0.05).Before the treatments,we spotted no significant difference in the scores of anxiety and depression(SSS,SDS,SAS),left ventricular function and exercise tolerance between the two groups(P>0.05).After the treatments,the scores of anxiety and depression in both groups were decreased,and the left ventricular function and exercise tolerance were improved,the difference was statistically distinct(P<0.05).Additionally,the changes of anxiety and depression scores,left ventricular function and exercise tolerance in thetreatment group were more significant.Conclusion: The combination of paroxetine and alprazolam can not only effectively improve anxiety and depression symptoms,but also improve the left heart function and exercise tolerance among the patients with stable coronary heart disease who also suffered from anxiety and depression state.
