Objective:This essay aims to observe the body surface temperature and microcirculatory blood flow perfusion(MBPU)at Five-Shu points of the stomach meridian in healthy and epigastric pain volunteers,at the time of opening and non-opening of the stomach meridian by Midnight-noon Ebb-flow Hour-prescription Method, and then to observe the moxibustion effects of Zusanli point by gastrointestinal function of the above two groups of people at the time of opening and non-opening of the stomach meridian. The specificity and regularity of Five-Shu points of stomach meridian in different time and different groups were discussed from body surface temperature and microcirculatory blood flow perfusion. Then to observe the physiological functions of Five-Shu points of the stomach meridian in different groups at the opening and non-opening of the stomach meridian based on the meridian-viscera theory. The main objective of our study was to provide scientific basis for clinical application of Five-Shu points of stomach meridian and Midnight-noon Ebb-flow Hour-prescription Method.Method: The experiment recruited healthy volunteers and epigastric pain volunteers.recording the body surface temperature of the Jing(Lidui,ST 45),Ying(Neiting,ST 44),Shu(Xiangu,ST 43),Jing(Jiexi,ST 41)and He(Zusanli,ST 36),in the opening time(7-9 a.m.)and non-opening time(15-17 p.m.)of stomach meridian over a three day period under the natural state respectively, which analyzed the change rule of body surface temperature of the five points. The characteristics of MBPU on Five-Shu points of stomach meridian were observed by laser speckle blood flow imaging simultaneity, and were compared with the above changes of body surface temperature.Eight-lead EGEG-8D electrogastrograph was used to record the characteristics of gastrointestinal electrogram in natural and moxibustion state in two groups, including gastric body(lead 1),antrum(lead 2),lesser gastric curvature(lead 3),greater gastric curvature(lead 4),ascending colon(lead 5),transverse colon(lead 6),descending colon(lead 7),rectum(lead 8),and analyzed the changes of gastrointestinal electrogram in different states.Result: A total of 30 healthy volunteers and 30 volunteers who suffered from epigastric pain were recruited in this experiment. Two healthy volunteers were absent, and one volunteer was removed from the stomach cramp group.A total of 57 volunteers completed the experiment, including 29 patients with gastric pain. There were 28 cases in the healthy group. There were no significant differences in gender, age, height, and weight between the two groups.1.At the opening time of the stomach meridian, the changes of gastrointestinal electrogram in healthy volunteers and those volunteers suffering from epigastic pain were recorded in term of the characteristics of body surface temperature,MBPU at Five-Shu points of stomach meridian before and after moxibustion.(1)The body surface temperature of the Five-Shu points of the stomach meridian increased regularly along the infusion order of Jing,Ying,Shu,Jing,He in both healthy and groups who suffered from epigastric pain at the time of stomach meridian opening(P<0.01).The temperature difference was very significant(P<0.01).(2)The general trend of MBPU at the Five-Shu Points of the stomach meridian in healthy people increased regularly along the infusion order of Jing,Ying,Shu,Jing as well as He.However, there was no significant difference by statistical analysis and the upward trend could be observed. The MBPU of Five-Shu points of stomach meridian in epigastria pain group was rising when the stomach meridian was opened and increased significantly along the order of Ying,Shu,Jing,He flow. This results was with statistical significance(P<0.05).(3)The average amplitude of transverse colon and descending colon after ECG intervention in healthy people was higher than those before ECG intervention with the difference being statistically important(P<0.05).At the time when the gastric meridian opened, the average amplitude of each lead in epigastria pain group increased substantially after electrogastrogram intervention compared with average amplitude before the intervention being carried out. There were substantial differences in three gastric leads, namely, the body lead, the lesser curvature lead, and the greater curvature lead(P<0.05).Antrum leads showed an upward trend, but with no statistical importance. At the time when gastric meridian opened, the average amplitude of each lead of gastric electrical activity in gastrulae group was lower than that in the healthy group. There were variances among the four leads of the gastric body, the lesser gastric curvature, the greater gastric curvature, and the Antrum(P<0.05).2.At the non-opening time of the stomach meridian, the changes of gastrointestinal electrogram in healthy volunteers and those volunteers suffering from epigastic pain were recorded in term of the characteristics of body surface temperature,MBPU at Five-Shu points of stomach meridian before and after moxibustion.(1)The body surface temperature of the Five-Shu points of the stomach meridian increased regularly along the order of Jing,Ying,Shu,Jing, and He,when the stomach meridian was not opened and the temperature difference variation could be measured(P<0.01).Compared with the body surface temperature of Five-Shu acupoints when the stomach meridian was not opened, only the body surface temperature of the combined acupoints had statistical significance(P<0.01).Also,the body surface temperature of Five-Shu acupoint when the stomach meridian was not opened primarily affected the body surface temperature of Xing,Jing and He acupoints(P<0.01).(2)There is no obvious regularity of MBPU at Five-Shu points of stomach meridian among healthy volunteers and epigastria pain volunteers when the stomach meridian was not opened. The MBPU of Jing,Xing,Shu and Jing points in Five-Shu acupoints of stomachache group at non-opening stomach meridian had statistical significance compared with that at opening stomach meridian(P < 0.05).(3)The average amplitudes of electroenterograms collected from ascending colon, descending colon, and rectum of healthy individuals after non-open gastric intervention were higher than those before intervention(P<0.05).The average amplitude of gastric body lead difference after intervention was higher than that prior to the procedure, which was notable(P<0.05).After intervention, the average amplitude of the other three gastric leads was also higher. There was a consistent upward trend but there was no major difference. Conclusions: 1.Both at the opening time and non-opening time of stomach meridian according to the midnight-noon ebb-flow hour-prescription method, the Five-Shu points of the stomach meridian have showed a regular increasing trend in body surface temperature along the sequence of Jing,Ying,Shu,Jing and He.There are differences in body surface temperature between healthy people and epigastric pain people at Five-shu points of stomach meridian.Compared with physiological state, pathological state has greater differences at different times.2.The MBPU of Five-Shu points shows a regular upward trend at the opening time of stomach meridian both in healthy people and people who suffer epigastric pain according to the midnight-noon ebb-flow hour-prescription method. The regularity of non-opening time of stomach meridian is not as obvious as that of opening time of stomach meridian, and the difference of pathological state is greater than that of physiological state at different times.3.When the stomach meridian is opened, the stomach function of people suffering from epigastric pain is weaker than that of healthy people.Moxibustion at Zusanli point can improve the gastrointestinal function of those people suffering from pain. When stomach points are not opened, the gastric function of stomachache group is weaker than that of normal group, and the curative effect of moxibustion is worse than that of the people whose stomach meridian is opened.
