Objective: To explore the safety and efficacy of endovascular embolization for treatment of middle cerebral arteries aneurysms. Methods: Retrospective analysis of clinical data of 37 patients(38 aneurysms)with middle cerebral arteries aneurysm treated with endovascular embolization for treatment from January 2010 to November 2017 in Department of Neurosurgery,General Hospital Of Ning Xiao Medical University. Results: 37 cases(38 aneurysms)successfully treated with endovascular embolization. The DSA immediately after the embolization showed that Raymond gradeⅠ occlusion was achieved in 34 aneurysms, grade Ⅱ in 4 and grade Ⅲ in 0.31 were embolized only with coils,6 were embolized with stent-assisted coils, and 1 was embolized with biogum-assisted coils,The effective rate of endovascular embolization was 100%.1 case aneurysm rupture during operation and death after the operation.1 case got aneurysmal artery spasm.1 case got thrombosis in the parent artery in-operation.2 cases got hydrocephalus. The following up for 6~18 months after the operation showed that according to modified mRs scale, the curative effects were good in 33 cases and not good in 4 cases. There were 36 cases who had DSA reviews,3 cases of recurrence. Conclusion: Endovascular embolization is safe and effective in the treatment of middle cerebral artery aneurysms. But surgical indications and patient screening should be strictly controlled.
