Objective To investigate the difference of expression of mismatch repair genes?MMR?hMLH1,hMSH2,hMSH6 and hPMS2 in left and right colon cancer.Methods185 cases of left colon cancer and 197 cases of right colon cancer were collected from the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from January 2014 to April 2018.A total of 382 cases were collected. The age,sex and pathological stage of the patients were counted. The expression of hMLH1,hMSH2,hMSH6 and hPMS2 in left and right colon cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemical PV-9000 two-step method. The data were analyzed.Results1.Among 382 patients,197?51.6%?were in the right colon cancer group, with an average age of 62.04±11.92,185?48.4%?in the left colon cancer group, with an average age of 61.42±11.94,and the overall average age of 61.74±11.92.There was no significant difference between the two groups in the age at different anatomical sites of colon cancer.2.There were 207 males?54.2%?and 175 females?45.8%?in the data, and the ratio of males to females was 1.18:1.There was no significant difference between the two groups??>0.05?.3.There were 158 cases?48.3%?of early{I(T1-2N0M0)and II(T3-4N0M0)}patients,169cases?51.7%?of advanced{III(T1-4N1-2M0)and IV(Tanyny NanyM1)}patients.The proportion of early two groups was 88 cases?55.7%?of right colon group and 70 cases?44.3%?of left colon group, respectively. The proportion of advanced two groups was 88 cases?52.1%?of right colon group. There were 81 cases?47.9%?in left colon group. There was no significant difference in pathological staging of colon cancer at different anatomical sites??>0.05?.4.The expression deletion rates of hMLH1,hMSH2,hMSH6 and hPMS2 in left colon cancer were 10.3%?19/185?,1.6%?3/185?,2.7%?5/185?and 20.0%?37/185?,respectively.The expression deletion rates of hMLH1,hMSH2,hMSH6 and hPMS2 in right colon cancer were 21.3%?42/197?,7.6%?15/197?,5.6%?11/197?,29.4%?58/197?.?1?There was significant difference in the expression of MSH2 and hPMS2??<0.05?,but no significant difference in the expression of hMSH6??>0.05?.?2?There were significant differences in the expression of hMLH1,hMSH2 and hPMS2 between the two groups in male patients??<0.05?,but there was no significant difference in the expression of hMSH6 between the two groups??>0.05?.?3?Age>=60 years old in two groups of patients,There were significant differences in the expression of hMLH1 and hPMS2??<0.05?,but there was no significant difference in the expression of hMSH2 and hMSH6??>0.05?.Two groups of patients aged less than 60 years old,There were significant differences in the expression of hMSH2??<0.05?,but no significant differences in the expression of hMLH1,hMSH6 and hPMS2??>0.05?.?4?In stage II(T3-4N0M0),there was a significant difference in the expression of hMLH1between the two groups??<0.05?.There was no significant difference in the loss of hMLH1expression between the two groups in stage I(T1-2N0M0),stage III(T1-4N1-2M0)and stage IV(T anyny N anyny M1)??>0.05?.Conclusion1.There was no significant difference in age,sex and pathological stage between left and right colon cancer.2.The loss rate of hMLH1,hMSH2 and hPMS2 protein expression in right colon cancer is higher than that in left colon cancer, suggesting that the occurrence of left and right colon cancer may be different at gene level, which provides a theoretical basis for the theory that left and right colon cancer are"two diseases"and precise medical treatment.
